    "In English dude."

^The red haired fellow with the glasses and hat is Donnelly.
He's the one who gets impaled by Skorponok.

Figueroa is the guy who keeps speaking Spanish and talks of his Momma's Gator casserole or something like that. His last name is a homage to Fan-Favorite TF Artist Don Figueroa.

^He gets injured when Skorponok blasts a building near him. The explosion and flying debris injure him and requires the team to call in a medivac.

In the IMAX version, Figueroa succumbs to his wounds while on the transport/medivac chopper and dies. This is in with the scene on the chopper where they examine the remains of Skorponok's tail to discover that it can be injured by high-heat sabot rounds, and that the tail still functions.

Roberto, do you regret not giving Blackout and Devastator English lines? What did you imagine their voices sounding like?

ok, well more specifically, let's say something like Blitzwing. An earth tank mode, a robot mode, and a slick cybertronian jet mode. what are the possibilities of having some dual alt mode bots in the 3rd film?

In the world of movies. There would some plausable backhanded way to have both Donnelly and Figueroa survive then recover.
Probably should, the red head Donnelly did a fine "dead pan" as the tower fell. It's not too late to write them both into some minor role or something.
Never tried gator, probably tastes like chicken.

Can somebody confirm this please? I've never seen this mentioned in any other report of the Imax version.

I don't think so, since the Optimus image looks like one of the shots from the first campaign against a different background.

An FBI agent thinks she's investigating an act of terrorism aboard a plane, but then discovers it's something a lot weirder, and the only people who can help her are an old Harvard professor who many consider to be as brilliant as Einstein but as nuts as Frankenstein, and his son, a shady rogue who is the only one who can really understand his father. Together, they figure out that what happened on the plane is part of a bigger series of strange events happening around the world...

    Re: Voice Cast?

    Hola, Senor Orci!
I hope you've had an interesting and informative time on the boards, getting to 'sound out' the fans as it were.
I have only one thing to ask, and that is, would you please consider--more importantly, please pass up the chain to others on the production staff this request that they consider--tapping Frank Welker for Megatron? I know I'm going to catch flak on the boards for asking, but the request is more important to me than how I'm taken here for making it. The man is a talented actor and is certainly capable of giving Megatron whatever feel you've established for him. The traditional voice of Megatron has just as much power as Optimus Prime's, and the first movie was missing a major element without him.
About ten years ago I wrote a serious essay discussing G1 Megatron's value as the main villain, and rather than spamming this thread I'll just give you a link:
    The Best at His Job
If you get time to read it, it might prove a useful "Cliff Notes" to G1; I know that in the past, new writers or contributors to what is Transformers didn't get the luxury of good references to G1. You wouldn't be the first person involved in a production that I've provided reference materials for. >;)

Again, you guys have gotta get Frank Welker on board! You don't know what you're missing!

    And Long Live Megatron!

Why is Einstein always the reference for "really damn smart"? Small reference pools much? :)

Hey Mr. Orci, thanks for taking the time to answer all of our questions. I got a quick one for you regarding the Autobots and Decepticons in general.

When writing the characters in the two factions, and pretty much the actions of the factions themselves, do you have the Decepticons percieving themselves as the the good guys, and the Autobots are the bad guys to them(something along the lines of evil being a point of view)? Or do you have the Decepticons knowing that they are evil, and not really careing what they do, they just want to destroy the Autobots and get the Allspark for themselves?

    Thanks for the time,
    Joe

I would really rather you guys *not* get Frank Welker as Megatron. Weaving was fine as Movie Megatron, and Wealker's G1 Megs voice just does not fit this character or the live-action universe it inhabits.

I think what fans tend to forget is most G1 voices (and indeed, most Transformers cartoon voices) were 'over the top' due to the medium they were in. By comparison the movie characters sound more subdued.
