No, they are not alternate versions of the same character. They are completely different characters who happen to share names.

Plausibility/relatability ≠ lazy writing

 

So today I was thinking, with the confirmed Leader Galaxy Convoy/Cybertron Prime,
and the much rumored Hot Shot/Hound retool, I feel like calling it now...

I know it sounds a little unorthodox, but I'm predicting we'll get...

The fact their both space cruisers, the gun toe armor feet... I mean, it would probably be a heavy retool, but I could see it.

 

I could see it. Retool the chest make the armour his cape/Wings and release a micro master 2 pack with safeguard and a random minicon (maybe jolt)

 

I just mean her original G1 styled design they use in the IDW comics, aka the T30 design, as opposed to RID or Cyberverse

 

each of those is a distinct character and several have been shown to coexist simultaneously and therefore cant be alternate versions of the same character

now if you want alternate versions of the same character then within siege alone you have voyager and leader optimus prime and deluxe and firestormer sideswipe. just like with characters sharing names there are plenty of examples of multiple different versions of characters

Imagine a WFC Leader or Voyager Weaponizer Overload!!! it would totally fit in this line and could come with a Micromaster version of Rollout that could become a gun,robot and head, imo that would be awesome, imagine WFC Leader OP with Overload cannons etc

 

Siege shockwave and Magnus fit pretty well in my displays. Had to put Magnus on a stand though, could barely see him behind the TR deluxes.

 

Weirdly enough I just watched a review for this guy randomly just for nostalgia sake. I agree, they could really maximize the potential of this new system.

 

People keep alluding to a full list of Siege figures but I can't find it. I can only find up to deluxe wave 3.

 

In the comic, I believe Swoop’s backstory had him named “Divebomb” until the Predecon of the same name beat the crap out of him and took the name.

I wouldn't mind one but I wonder if that would be a Select Series item. I do find it interesting that there hasn't been a mainline Voyager Prime redeco leaked or planned as of yet

 

initially i wasnt sold on the prime mold, but after having it in hand i gotta say, id buy nemesis or shattered glass in a heartbeat

I'm kind of hoping that since it's rumored we're getting a G2 Combat Hero Megatron in Selects, that we get a Combat Hero OP.

 

I like the color scheme, but the real question is if there any slight modifications that need to be made.

 

I have a feeling that Select Series will feature mostly redecos and a smattering of alternate heads (CW Ratchet/Hoist come on down!). Siege doesn’t seem redeco heavy except for the Seekers and for Red Alert.

 

I remember there was discussion of people wanting Siege deluxe constructicons

Well here’s art of the War Within designs and they aren’t to different from earth modes so it could be feasible if the rumour that we will get some earth mode retools that these could be retooled along with the rest.
