With Victory Saber being a Haslab, would you think Deathsaurus would be one later too or maybe more mass release/selects for him?

This debut has made a good first impression in my eyes. The reveal was lean and mean. Mo extraneous padding with subject matter that fans aren't totally invested in like the previous FFF.

I saw things to nitpick like hollow undersides of Victory Leo's V-Lock Cannons but primarily, the bots themselves look good and without obvious engineering compromises (so far).

Correct me if my understanding of the names wrong but isn't the stretch goal the V-Lock Rifle? I thought Victory Leo's shoulder weapons are the V-Lock Cannons.

 

So in a nutshell everything's bad and nothing's good? Lol

the tiers don't really matter because 3P will probably make every accessory he's ever touched in the show lol

Not a fan of how large Saber's sleeves are in Victory Leo mode and how funky Victory Leo is in combined mode

well, I think this looks great, and maybe not as refined in proportions as the MP, but much better in terms of sculpted detail.

I was expecting ti to be quite a bit larger though - I think if the Brainmaster had been the same size as a Titanmaster the scale would have made more sense...

it is pricey (essentially Titan class/price for closer to a commander-equivalent) but I still think I'm in, not a ton I'm interested in next year anyways and the aftermarket on most of these HasLabs is absurd if one changes ones mind.

 

Man I was so ready to back this, but all the hollow bits and the lack of care in presentation has me turned off. Maybe it'll look better in color so I'll wait and see.

 

Why can’t this be two Commander Class releases at mass retail? I get they’re more niche but Victory Saber is probably the one Japanese character that casual TF fans would go for too. Idk, this just doesn’t seem to the have the polish and premium-feeling I’d expect from a HasLab project.

A few more hollow bits than I'd like in the wrists and guns but it doesn't ruin it. The underside of Leo's guns are really accentuated in the combined form, especially if we're going to be looking up at him on a shelf, so I do hope they can fill those in better. Other than that though this looks pretty great and the price is excellent if you ask me. The brainmaster gimmick where he just becomes the face is super cool. I really hope the next stretch goal is a flight stand of some kind. The pose-ability looks awesome and perfectly suited for flying poses. A flight stand would be great for both Victory Saber and the flying vehicle mode(s). They could even include alternate arms for the stand that fit his robot mode height, or a shorter one for the jet mode. Or just have one adjustable one. Either way I think it would be a no brainer. Some nicely decorated base with the Victory logo on it or something would be icing on the cake.

 

According to the Wiki, the shoulder guns are the V-Lock Rifles. Make of that what you will.

 

This figure isn't for me, but it definitely seems like it's in the realm of being worth the asking price. It's like one of those pre-order only Takara Gen Selects figures, I guess. A much easier pill to swallow than Unicron.

 

To me it's potayto-potahto. I hope it gets made because it's absurdly large.

 

Naw, I aint into deluxe figures with that level of compromise. For example Zarak doesn't have ball joints, these may look like ass standing side by side.

 

Not a bad price. Was expecting 300 to 400 for some reason so this isn't bad.

Personally, I stomped on the button as hard as possible, I'm not looking at the flaws (there are definitely flaws) but the potential. There will be kits... Oh, God, there will be kits.
