Didn't see another post, but no worries regardless.

Dude, I won't spoil anything for you, but the ending will stick with you...

    FOREVER.

Also Noriko is best girl. No matter how many times I repeat myself, i'm sticking to that mentality for as long and far as the eye can see, haha. Kicking ass while still being the cutest of buttons throughout the galaxy. Haha.

(figure by the way is CM's Corp's Gutto Kuru Noriko. Shame they went out of business, cause this thing is legit one of my absolute favorites in my entire collection.)

What I WILL say, don't watch the "movie". There was a "movie" 2-pack (packed with the sequel series, Diebuster) release at least a decade ago, don't go for that one. Trimmed down to all hell from what I heard. Also, can't beat the original dub (the "movie" also redubbed the entire thing, c'mon... subs only btw, never got an English dub, apologies for the confusion.).

Also btw, mouthplates for days, my man. My personal favorite aesthetic for any Transformer. Mouthplate gang rise up, haha.

God, does Voltron dominate with all that die-cast...

    Excellent photo as always, Kuma!

Ngl, the F:A stuff is looking really neat. Fixing to pick up Ideon and Combattler when I can.

And Sentinel, oh brother where do I begin. I'd pick up their new Rayearth if it wasn't $250, haha. Would love to get that as a companion piece for the Rayearth Figmas, which I ALSO need to pick up, lol.

Damn, that's right. EX Gokin, not SOC.

    God, still looks good, haha.

The full on original Zambot 3 is a cool figure, don’t get me wrong. And the small version of Zamboace that comes with Zambot 3 has most of the bells and whistles the larger GX-81 version has (including that crazy belt and all of the gun parts). He’s just smaller, simpler and not quite as articulated as the larger Zamboace. I bought my Zambot 3 second hand complete in the box at a local shop last year for $100. He’s probably more now, but I don’t think he usually tends to be terribly expensive. And he is one heavy SOB. Just don’t expect much leg articulation in his combined form. Watch some review videos on him if you haven’t already. I don’t regret getting him at all.

Yeah I've noticed leg articulation is generally pretty limited for combining SoCs. Godmars, Baikanfu (appatently,) etc. I believe only Ideon, Gunbuster, and Getter Emperor get away with good legs. As long as he can A-Stance it's probably fine thoug . :D

Let’s just say he can reliably stand upright...lol.

And, for comparison, here’s a pic of GX-81 Zamboace with the smaller version included in the GX-23 Zambot 3 set:

Huh. Leave it to Bandai to make something stellar while looking so normal. Gives them more room to go crazy with articulation and such, if you ask me.

That’s what I like about Zamboace. His articulation is great, he has personality and he’s solid. He was my first SOC, and it’s going to take something special to knock him out of my top spot. It’s hard for me to find any faults with him, honestly. He even has a NON-robotic dog in one of his feet...lol...

I’ve easily had more fun with Zambo than just about any other figure I own. He’s just a very well done robit.

Ideon suffers a bit from collapsing legs. Nothing bad, his legs just sometimes start to telescope into themselves so he will get shorter on the shelf. When fully extended he has decent articulation. The full combining Zambot 3 is not a well articulated SOC. The legs are stiff and no waist/torso. But there are a few Combiners that do have some incredible articulation. I'm not sure if you consider him a combiner, but Trider G7 can hit some amazing poses. Danguard Ace is decent. Tiny but decent. Daltanius is Fanfreakingtastic. And of course Lion Voltron and Vehicle Voltron blow away anything we have seen before. GaoGaiGar isn't bad in his base combined form. But the more add on junk you keep feeding it the more statue like it becomes.

I've really been eyeballing Daltanius. The design is sort of... Out there, I guess, but it's also very appealing. Should I hold out for the R version this fall? Also I would definitely love to pick up Dairugger, but the price makes my heart sink. :D

Lol...thanks. I thought I had read that it is an android or cyborg or something. I've never seen the show. Even better that it's a real dog (nothing against robot dogs, of course).

You should absolutely get Daltanious! I’d say to get whatever version you like better or is cheaper. As for the design, it’s one of my favorite Super Robots of all time, probably second to Mazinger.
