The only thing I did to improve them a little is paint the chest dot white on the Reflector makes it look a lot better.

Excellent, it reminds me a little bit of Transformers Animated Blackaracnia, witch is a good thing.

I honestly think this is one of the nicest Legends 2-packs yet!

The camera is AMAZING; I wanted that original Reflector figure SO BADLY, only to find out that the mail-in proofs-of-purchase I had were for a contest that had ended 2 years ago...

    THIS IS MY CHANCE!

I was wondering... the Legends 2-pack, cheapest of buys, makes this even more obvious...

-- does anyone feel like, with Hasbro and T/T taking such good care of old-school collectors with Encore, Henkei, Universe, Classics, Generations, and MASTERPIECE, that there's MUCH LESS of a reason to buy, or even want, older G1-era figures?

Don't get me wrong, I came to this by way of rationalizing being less sad about losing my entire '80s collection and having to start over, but newer figures, Generations and Masterpiece especially, are not only cheaper and more readily available, but more articulate and detailed (in many cases), and made of sturdier, longer-lasting material that hasn't already been put to the test for 20+ years.

    Is this another thread somewhere?

I really like Shrapnel but I really wish his pincers could have been chromed. I guess we may see some repaints in the future. Reflector? I want to see a camera that breaks down into three bots. This is okay but it's not what I'm looking for. I guess I'll have to go another route in the area.

But then you'd have less chrome to use on AoE toys!

Heck yeah they need to! I don't care if they have to change their names to Bombquake and Puntback. These Insecticons are meant to be a trio.

and put me down for the other insecticons in this scale paired off with more of the smaller autobots like an idw pipes or someone thats suppose to be a smaller bot not a shrunk down prime or megatron. or really dig deep hasbro and recolor the legends bumblebee as tap-out

See Post 84 in the Skrapnel review thread for pictures.

Mine, and my Tailgate, are somewhere between BBTS HQ and my Death Fortress in Swindon UK along with a pile of other stuff which is probably about to get customed big time.

Masterpiece ain't cheaper. That said, if I didn't already own most of the pre-1986 series, I'd say yes. But I only need a handful to complete those. And Hasbro still is neglecting the majority of the post-1986 characters. So until we see a flood of Headmasters, Targetmasters & Pretenders being released in Generations, I'll continue to seek out holes in my G1 collection.
