For those who got Mentarazor be careful. Just transformed him first time and the single peg that secures the wings to the body in alt mode already broke...

Well, I got my first member (Big Bite), and while the aesthetic is wonderful, as well as his heft, the assembly is kind of scary. Pulling the elbow joint out of his torso always takes an amount of force that I think will break it, although I haven't, and I hope I don't. Also, he is very sharp. Aside from those two gripes, I like him. I'm sure that once I've picked up the rest of the figures, I'll like him a bit more.

 

That seems incredibly high risk.

GCI, I think you guys should go old school on this bad boy. Parts forming. Just get a Poseidon helmet that will fit over Snaptraps head. I will buy that.

It kinda bugs me how a lot of these guys don't seem to be able to close their mouth properly. Not a huge complaint. Just kinda weird.

 

My Mentarazor package never showed up today as scheduled. Deathclaw did, but he's missing his lobster head.   My excitement went straight down the toilet lol.

 

Who did you order from?? Also, sorry to hear that you are missing the lobster head.

 

It bugs me more that Mentarazor doesn't even have a mouth. I really like Ironshell and Big Bite, I think Cyberjaw has a few oddly-designed elements, and while Mentarazor looks pretty good in robot mode I really feel like TFC kinda phoned in the alt mode. Tiny eyes, no mouth, fat body, and no beast legs even though there is zero reason his robot arms couldn't have become beast legs.

 

I agree with you on that. Since you mentioned it, i took out my re-issue and i was looking at the major differences that you mentioned and you kind of blew my mind.

 

Funny you say that, Mentarazor will be the last one I pick up if I pick him up at all. I was really unimpressed with the alt mode. Dig all the other's alt modes though. Especially Deathclaw and Bigbite. Thousandkills looks great too.

 

As much as I love this set, I do agree with you that Mantarazor has the weakest beast mode.
A pity because G1 Seawing had a great beast mode, and was a real favourite of mine as a kid.
I'm just hoping that Dr. K can help out re: some clip-on beast legs.

Random question: is anyone else missing a translucent yellow circle on one of bigbite's shoulders?
I just noticed this on mine after I had it for a bit and it bugs the crap out of me. I feel like it's been too long since I received it and don't know if I should ask for a replacement. Either I'll have to remove the other one or see if any of you are missing one and don't mind parting with the other. 

 

I agree about the lack of a mouth, but I honestly like him with no legs in his beast mode.
