Never understood this. Good game on a short lived console. But it is not the greatest nintendo console either. That belongs to SNES.

To be honest i wouldn’t mind if this was delayed to Jan or Feb of 2019....but we should expect this to be the last Smash for a LOOOOOONG time.

Nintendo wants the Smash’s life cycle to run more than 5 years. Sakurai seems to work himself into the ground for Smash and it’s one title per console.

We shouldn’t get this game very often.

I heard since Sakurai is involved, that the game could potentially get pushed back to 2019. IDR if and how many times the last Smash was delayed.

There is no evidence that Nintendo wants Smash life cycle to be more than 5 years.

    Switch 2018

    Basically there is no pattern.

Seems like Nintendo wants to axe that.

Thats the life cycle of the system, not necessarily games.

Sakurai works himself to (near) death over these games. Considering the quality he's put out, he deserves to make a new IP, or at least take a break.

Provided Nintendo finally gives us Virtual Console on Switch and DLC options for updates, Super Smash Bros. Switch should last for years to come.

man, i really fuckin hope they can work in form changes or shit like that again. i'm probably a minority but i think the pokemon trainer worked best to represent the pokemon franchise and would love to see two of them, so you can work in 6 generations of starters, and then a 7th gen pokemon to represent the newest games. and maybe while we're at it get rid of lucario.

Not even if they improved their distribution a lot? ;)

I mostly just stick to Fire Emblem, but dang if they made a Shantae amiibo...

The only reason they couldn't do transformations was because of the limitations of the 3DS and that they wanted to keep the rosters the same between both platforms. Hopefully this means they can bring it back along with the Ice Climbers.
