It's the first I've heard of them being somewhere without being a preorder, and these aren't listed as preorders. If it's old news (not news, whatever else would make this not newsworthy), I apologise in advance.

I just got these via Amazon (3rd party), but I can't find the previous wave of Foton, Hacker and Highline.

I was going to do that, but they're from someone else other than Amazon, so the Super Saver Shipping thing doesn't apply. I guess I'll just wait.

 

most transformers change from a toy robot into a toy car or toy plane or toy gun.

these are like a magic trick without the reveal or a joke without a punchline.

maybe takara is trying to make kids think about how a transformer could sneak into their home. how about a toy gun or toy plane or toy car?

unless these guys eject a bunch of cool robots from their chest that are perfectly pared to unleash tactical combos on the enemy. i'm just not seeing enough fun.

this is my second post so if i'm just talking to completionists sorry.

 

I think the Real Gears broaden the horizon of what a Transformer can be. I remember the first time I saw the Dinobots as a kid- those are the ones that started making me think of what else robots could turn into. They don't have quite the play value of a jet or car Transformer, but I'll bet more than one kid has enjoyed fooling their friend by saying, "look at my cool new cell phone," and then transforming it to the awe of their unsuspecting buddy.

Indeedy they did, and I got mine in about 4 days ago. Their colors are sweetness personified-- especially Twitcher. I think all three of them have better colors than their mold's original use.

 

Two words:

G1 Soundwave.

Two more words: G1 Megatron.

 

Eh, unless they're now exclusives, I'll just wait until they hit the chains.

Still, nice colours all around.

 

thanks for the replies, i'm not judging i just seem to have quite an opinion about them.

if i pick up some of these on clearance at my favorite dying department store and start posting picks of myself sidetalking with them i'll realize that i probably think about them more than anyone else.
