Again I never once said another brand should be forced onto anybody. Somebody claimed that Fans Toys dinobots are the best thing going and I simply asked if they had ever owned the alternative. And they had not.

That is all there is to it.

 

I'm not a one or the other guy, but there are 2 particular FT trolls who go into all the GP threads (yes every single one) and create much worse discourse. I read all the threads because I'm genuinely interested in both companies (and all the others) products and I see the trolling much more blatantly and rudely from those 2 guys than anything anyone has done here.

Sounds like 2 real badasses are trying to defy the almighty Empire of Giga on their own. What dedication ...   But we clearly have different perceptions about that. I always see them being attacked and insulted personally for merely stating their taste concerning a ... PRODUCT. That rarely happens the other way around. Because not everybody shows that kind of territorial behaviour. Must be a Giga thing...insecurity maybe. After all we're on a discussion board here. Some people should just smile more often. Life is good, you know?!

Everything here is 100% subjective. There is NO objectivity to anything stated on this forum. This is not like tech forum where you can put products side-by-side and see which one is actually better based on specs.

Saying this, GP makes some absolutely gorgeous bots. There is no doubt about it. However, most people in this thread are into the look and design of the FT bots. So if someone says "FT is the best thing going," then that is their opinion and should be respected as such. Calling someone out on "why" and continuing to push borders on trolling...no matter how polite you are about it.

My personal opinion...I love what Giga is doing. Their bots are giant and super stylized. If my desire was to own the coolest looking version of each bot (cartoon accuracy be damned), I would probably go Giga. However, my love for TFs comes from a combination of toon and toys and FT's designs hit the nostalgia button better to MY EYES. I also love how FT has figured out how to make the bots a little more streamlined (hiding dino legs, tails, etc). This is my subjective opinion only.

Also, I do realize there are super FT fans that troll the Giga threads. I'm sorry for that. But, that doesn't mean you have to do the same. The 3P company partisanship on this forum is baffling to me. There really is something for everyone and we are all flipping lucky to even have choices like we do.

So, enjoy your bots and let others enjoy theirs. What you think is amazing may not be to me. And in the words of Stuart Smalley..."that's OK."

The butt hurt is strong in this thread.   Why can't we all just get along? I mean, I get it that people like other stuff that I don't, and I respect that. I commented awhile back that FT's Dinobots are as good as it gets and some troll overlord was spouting nonsense that I shouldn't be biased. I never once said that Gigapower's figures were bad, I can't give an honest opinion since I've never messed with any, BUT, I have all of FT's Dinobots (regular versions) so I can weigh in there. I have however seen videos of Gigapower's figures and yeah, they do look like good figures, but I personally don't care for them. It's just not that I prefer....goodness that was a long rant. Anyway, c'mon people, let's just enjoy our plastic crack addictions.
