Okay people, right now I have a WIP for a Myrmidon dragon, his styling is different than a normal beast wars character... anyway...




He's supposed to resemble a knight.
remember it is a work in progress.

 

This entire thread is brilliant. The designs are awesome.

I disagree. I have no issues with the bot mode possessing beast mode characteristics -- just as I have no issues with carformers possessing wheels, or tankformers having a big ass cannon.

I do agree there is a balancing act, as there always is in designing a good TF. But TF's have never been "pure" in robot mode -- they've always been a compromise, or a design that takes something odd from one mode, and turns it into a strength in the other.

Nice work TGping. I was thinking of a cool design for the character you have. It would be cool if he was a Headmaster. Like the head could become a knight that rides on the dragon. Just an idea to throw around.

 

shin- yeah, a beast wars headmaster would be cool. Would he be a different or an existing headmaster?
About my pic, the sheild will be different it will have spikes and hinges and things. The finished pic will have way tighter lines, so don't worry.
Also I don't have a name for this guy...

For the Myrmidon guy. I figure its a Pred. So maybe Snapdragon?

How he would have would up on ancient Earth whith such a powerfull upgrade is anouther question though. 0_o


As for the Fenrir. I first thought "Moonhowl" but I don't know if it sounds too cheesy. Possibly Weirdwolf... dunno.

Weremole-I think snapdragon may work, but I don't remember snapdragon to have any noble characteristics. Although I think transformers with huge upgrades to be some of the best, waspinator as thrust. If waspinator can have a huge spike in intelligence then so can snapdragon. Ultimately it's up to shin so let's wait and see

Well I was talking about your character being a headmaster or a powermaster maybe. Its just an idea. But I don't think there were headmasters in beast wars era.

 

It probably doesn't matter whether or not there were powermasters or headmasters, it only matters how hard you are willing to work to get it all to make sense. I'm just throwing ideas on top of yours so yeah...

I'm gonna work on different designs while I clean up the myrmidon bot, again shin myth+beastwars= genius

 

I've been working on the story some more and im going with it takes place after beast wars. I have alot if good idea's but some I can't say without giving to mcu away. Like who the Fenrir character really is, or "people" he may be and who he's working with. But so far I far the lay out of the story. It will be basiclly when they are going back thu the timewarp to cybertron an "Oracle of time" enter primals head( or something along those lines) and tells him that there are things left in the past that will change the future that he needs to help fix. So around 1,000 BC or so there are events that are happening that will change the future. So prime is sent back to then to stop what may happen. And since they are myth creature they have to have big alt modes (cause the beast wars character are the size of humans) so the "Oracle" give's primal the power of the ancients (big alt forms and the ability to transform plus a "matrix")

 

Since BW is G1 in the future and the "myth" story is in the future of BW I figure the Nebulans where dead long ago. Atleast the Headmaster partners.

I dunno. But it would be cool if it whas worked in somehow. Maybe its Bludgeon. =)

BW Beast-tech being derived from Pretender tech maybe this is Bludgeons (or random fellow calling himself Bludgeon) "Double Pretender" form far into the future. The dude just forms a head for the big robot mode and rides inside of the dragon in smaller robot form.

No matter how many times I see that Fenrir, I can't shake the feeling that is looks remarkably like Starscream.

That would be because of the head. Its facial traits bear far more resemblance to Starscream than Megatron.
