knightmare6 usually you can get 75 or more uses out of a mold before it starts to degrade, the parts themselves are still solid but the surface texture goes from smooth to looking like an orange peal or it will begin to hold onto the part as you try and remove it from the mold (even with release agent) and it will start to take chunks of the mold with it.

kinda common, when i did the uranos eyes i remade most of those molds twice and some 3 times. though with this project there are more than one mold per part to speed up the process but both are showing signs of aging and since I only have one master part its gonna take a few days to redo 2 molds.

 

Just got another batch of claws and swords in, and will start working on them over the weekend, so more shipping notices will go out all next week. Thanks again for your patience guys.

 

Not sure how many orders were placed towards the end, but I sent payment on June 10th and have received no shipping notice yet, so I'm guessing you guys are in last batch if I'm (hopefully) in the second-to-last…

Folks, a big thanks for your orders and our patience, just wanted to do a quick update.

Some more tracking numbers went out tonight, with those orders shipping on Monday.

We are obviously not going to make the "all orders filled" by mid August due to the mold degradation, but we should still finish up soon - and work on the shotgun molds has already begun, so they are still on schedule. Don't wait to the last minute for the shotgun orders and get them while you can, link is in my sig.

I paid my claws on june 25. i think i am in the last batch. Is it right? I think iam the last person who will recive the claws. :-D because the way to germany is very far. Hehehe

Glad you are taking your time to do it right, that's what counts most. I have gotten recasts for my Macross toys before, and they were really bad quality reproduction. I know you guys actually care and will do it right.

 

I just found out about this but I had ordered the hands off tfsource. Are you going to be offering the swords again?

 

It looks like several of us are just now learning about these. We definitely would be willing to support an additional run of the claws!

 

Got some more orders going out tomorrow, and tracking should have gone out via paypal.

I ran out of gold and my local hobby store didn't have anymore in stock so I had to order it, soon as it gets in I can resume on the swords again.

I got my EB pre order with them too. While I'm not really in any personal hurry to get it, I do regret not being able to modify the custom cannons we have planned for Rex due to not having the wings.

Edit: just to clarify, claw orders are still going out as normal, it's swords or claw/ swords orders that are not until I get more gold.

 

i to have talon pre-ordered with tf source but what sucks at the time leo and talon were a month apart. so i went with free shipping, dang it i dont even have leo yet. he will ship with talon.

 

My claws just arrived today, but I'm nit able to install them just yet. It looks like each hand is molded in slightly different shades of grey - was this intentional?
