Man...of course when I finally decide to buy the Amazon Siege Skywarp, he's sold out. Guess my Siege Seekers will be incomplete here as I am not spending $150 for the figure. Guess we'll see if he's put out along with all the other Seekers for Earthrise.
Yeah, I ran into this a couple weeks ago. It sucks. I believe Skywarp has been tentatively confirmed for Earthrise. I’ll probably grab the the ER Seekers and sell off my Siege Screamer and Cracker. I’ve still got the Rainmakers set for the Cybertron version. ALSO! I got my Astrotrain today, and I concur re: his greatness. Real solid all-around. Great update of the original. Between him, Jetfire and Omega, it’s like 1985 all over!
I saw a spinister and crosshairs at Albert Lea Walmart. I got their only Apeface. Now I need a find Racthet, Astrotrain, the battlemasters and ratbat/frenzy
Not sure if this is even a relevant sighting but I saw a Siege Soundblaster and Springer at WSP Walmart. Been out of the Classics game for awhile now with Unicron being the exception, don't really even bother going down the toy isle unless I'm looking for movie figures.
Question for Jetfire owners: Is the neck swivel on yours really loose? I’m not sure how to tighten the rivet without damaging him.
Are we talking about Siege? Mine is a little loose...it moves pretty freely...you might want to use some Future for this...have him look all the way up so you can see the swivel, and then use a toothpick to get the liquid to flow down, in to where the swivel is.
Moving freely is a good term. Basically if I flick his head with my finger it spins. I see what you’re saying about future... I’m just not sure there’s enough clearance for a toothpick?
So I got some of the S4 botbots 5packs from amazon, but I happened to get a duplicate of one set. I'll most likely return it, but I'd rather see if someone here wants it first. It's the Magical Tricksters #2 set, which has: Bemyne (Candy heart) Critically Complained (Old-School Video Camera) The Great Mumbo Bumblo (Top Hat) Whoopsie Cushion (wait for it... a Whoopie Cushion!) And the Blind Figure I got in the other one was Mr. Business Esquire (old-school brick cell phone). Pretty sure that's supposed to be the same in all of them. Anyway, PM me if interesting. I'm in Bloomington. As always, BotBots rocks, and this set has a lot of hits. They keep getting better and better. Bumblo (who is a top hat that turns into a rabbit) and Critically Complained (who has a megatron-esque gun on one arm) and Lunchador (a luchador tamale) are especially cool. A fair amount of recolors in this wave, but they're good and a lot of them are recolors of the Bakery Bytes the US didn't get up until very recently. I've also got duplicates of a number of figures that I can PM if anyone's interested in those.
Grabbed a lone Spinister at the downtown MPLS Target this morning. They had one Crosshairs as well, whom I left there despite the temptation and the reduced price. Also saw a Siege Sideswipe there who is someone I haven't seen since earlier this year.
Mixmaster showed up today. I like him. He's pretty big being all spindly. One possible thing to watch out for is that you have to put the upper arm armor/binders/whatever on by hand since it wouldn't fit in the box otherwise, and I could see the pegs they go on maybe breaking if you're not careful with it. That said, I liked the old one but this is a much more elegant transformation that feels pretty good from each mode. Head mode is way more stable than I thought it would be. Only major design gripe is that his hands are just hanging out on the back of the truck, but it's a fine concession for a head mode that isn't just opening up the cab. The face is honestly a little SMALLER than I expected too, but it looks great and comparing it to other figures on my desk, it's still gonna be huge. Where some studio series figures might be a little eh, this is another very solid Construction.
1x Spinister at IGH Target. The peg is full so it's unclear if Crosshairs was purchased or is in the back. Where are Ratbat and Rung????
