Yinz who are so hard on suicidal people have no idea WTF you're talking about. That's all I'm going to say.
I'm not hard on suicidal people. I'm hard on suicidal people who are selfish enough to try to fuck other people up while they do it. Oh, and having had an ex-girlfriend jump off a motorway bridge and have to be ID'd by her dental records, yes I damn well do.
^^This wins this thread! ^^But this came damn close! Nobody's sure why the guy did what he did or why he chose the theater, but I do actually find it very sad that it took so long to be noticed. Also, it said that the closest person was only two rows away? How could that not cause some sort of reaction when the gun went off?
First thing that popped into my head when I read the thread title was, "he should have saved it for Bayformers2".
Ultimately they decide living isn't worth it whether it be hormonal/mental or because their life sucks. I'm not gonna judge them for doing it but I'm not gonna cry either. Comparing killing yourself to being physically raped on any argumentative level is disgusting imo.
It's gotta make you wonder, at least a small part of you... what if this guy thought the movie was pretty good? What then? He'd walk out of the theater and wipe the sweat from his brow, saying "woo, dodged THAT bullet." That's what he'd say.
I feel bad for the theatre manager. I'm sure there was tons of paperwork, giving out free passes, and other crap to take care of. I agree with the 'if you seriously have to do this, do it at home. Or at least, you know, make it something you have to do in public, like jumping off a really high building.
