It should be pointed out Marvel and Star Wars won't be involved.

    But color me mildly interested.

*crosses fingers for MEGA or Hasbro to try something next*

Those packs seem like a sweet way to get some wanted minifigs without spending too much on the actual sets.

I'm liking what I see so far! :D  Well, everything except the lack of a 3DS version... :(  Maybe if this is successful enough, it will come later? Maybe?...

Pretty cool, I might have to give this a try when it comes out. I love NFC games.

I've been saying for years. Activision has both the Skylanders and Transformers video game franchise rights and hasn't crossed the technology yet. They are sitting on an untapped goldmine.

Bring Highmoon and Toys for Bob together to do the next War for/Fall of game. The game comes with a Skylanders-type portal, a Deluxe-sized, fully transformable figure with a built-in NFC chip, and some kind of Targetmaster (also transformable) with a magnetic pass-through port so the portal could detect who was connected to the main figure (the same way Skylanders Swap Force knew what top part was connected to the bottom).

A handful of characters and Targetmaster weapons would be available in-game. But, for the "full roster" you'd need to go out and buy the additional Generations Deluxes equipt with the NFC chips, as well as Targetmaster packs to add additional weapons. Every Targetmaster would work on every figure, so you could not only customize your favorite look in the real world, but the best battle combination in-game.

You're welcome Hasbro, that one's free.

Its nice to see a company that understands that its toys to life and not statues to life. I really can't wait for this to come out. I would preorder now but I'm wondering what stores are gonna get exclusives.

Its too bad they won't do ninja turtles though since I think they lost the license to Megabloks this year.

    ...alright, I'm game.

The question now becomes how the system even works - because I'm pretty sure I can't use those old McDonalds lego print bricks I've had kicking around my lego bin for over a decade with this.

    Also, in case you folks forgot this was a thing;
If LEGO FNAF happens for this...oh god this could be horrifying and amazing at the same time, depending in Unikittiy or Metal Beard are involved. Horrifmazing?

    Who the fuck cares?

Seriously, Back to the Future DeLorean is going to be a playable vehicle. And Benny the Spaceman will probably be able to drive it.

All arguments are moot because Spaceship DeLorean will now happen.

I'm strongly tempted to try this game out just to see the characters interacting with the other worlds. I'd love to see the Lego Video Game Batman meet the Lego Movie Batman just to see how they'd react to each other's personalties. :lol

    I'm interested.

No surprise in seeing the WB properties (and not seeing the Disney properties: Marvel and Star Wars), but having Back to the Future be a part of this is really cool.

    Damn right they will!

For LEGO, it's a double win because not only are they going to make sales off folks who play the game, but LEGO customers will also buy these because they are a cheaper way to get good parts and popular minifigs without having to buy a $30+ set.
