So I was having a chat with JJ about their up and coming combiner project and it was said they want to do something special for TFCon if possible. There is a little time to get this together and they asked me to create a poll to see what kind of interest there would be for this.

So it goes like this, they want to do something limited that will be available at TFCon but it is unknown about the color scheme of what they want to do. It would consist of 2 of the 4 limbs but not sure which 2 yet either. Color could be black, G2, Grey, camo, kind of totally unknown what they will end up with. Each piece would be $30 USD and here is the kicker, they will produce only the amount of positive votes in this poll. If the poll gets 100 yes votes then they will produce 100 of this exclusive color only for TFCon and will sell it at the show.

So get all your friends and family to answer this poll and see what can get made! Share with everyone you know on Social Media. I am not sure of the time frame of the poll as the figure will need to be produced and sent out to TFCon to be on time. I would guess there is about 2 weeks for this poll to be up before it must be decided on production.

If you have questions, use the thread or PM me directly. Also feel free to use the thread to voice your suggestions on what color or style these should be in.

 

So I'll start the ball rolling for others who may be actually going to TFCon.

1) What is a Jet Commander?
2) What does it look like?
3) Can i buy it now? \ What about the rest of the combiner?
4) When \ where is TFCon? (hasn't it just happened for this year and isn't in different places?)
5) If someone votes Yes because they want it and want it to be made, will they be guaranteed a copy? Or will it be 100 copies and pot luck if you're able to actually buy it?
5a) As above but if they can't make it to TfCon?

If someone could work out some sort of peg that allows any of these sets to combine in jet mode Dreadwing style, it would make them even cooler!

Jet Commander is the oversized and remolded Combiner Wars Superion made on Ju Jiang toys. It was seen at TFcon and TFNation. Looks like maybe 150% original size (18 inches tall) and has remolded jet modes to be more G1 accurate and new articulation (diacast?).

It never got mentioned in the 3P news for this site, and the thread for it needs renaming BADLY, which is why it's so stealthy.

As long as it won't be a pain in the neck to obtain the rest of the combiner in those colors im all about it .. that thing was massive at the con and they have made a lot of improvements to make them more cleaned up .. it's a nice set and 30 each con price is not too bad

 

I absolutely hate convention exclusives. Getting them at the usually marked up retail price is almost like winning the lottery. I really want to vote no because of that, but I'm a great guy so I'll vote yes to maybe help someone else.

 

Always think it hilarious when someone aks a question, a next poster gives the answer and then in the very next post the question is asked again.

I don't understand why people are voting no and maybe. Voting yes doesn't commit you to anything and can only help people that might actually want these. Come on people, do what I did and vote yes. Make TFW2005 great again!

Because the question is "would you be interested", and people answer accordingly. Would be crappy if they produced 1000 units and only 100 people actually wanted them.

 

Kinda wish they didn't resize it at all... I know, it's silly, but I like the idea of G1 accurate Aerialbots that are still compatible with the rest of the official figures. (I really like Scramble City. *shrug* )

In terms of repaints... they could probably do some of the Mayhem Attack Squad or Predators. Specifically, Needlenose was a Falcon, and Talon was an Eagle. Their bot modes differ from the Aerialbots a bit, but shared some Alt Modes.
