    I need your advice.

What if I painted the hood, and roof white.

This may give the impression of a more complete sky lynx when in beast mode...emphasis on the may. And it wouldn't look too ridiculous in car mode.

Would this be an improvement, or would the white just make it more glaring that the mold is just the lynx part.

That's kinda neat! I had never thought of this as a Skylinx mold, but not bad at all. Great paint job!

If you've just gotta throw some white in there, you should do it with a stripe down the middle, or maybe stripes that look like wings on the doors or something.

In my opinion, I believe that you should leave it as is. I think that if you change anything that you would be taking away from your original idea....which by the way is pretty cool. It fits Lynx better than Ravage (which has already been made...) Great Job!

Keep the hood blue. It's not large enough to give an impression of the white bird half, but as it is it's a good look for the complete lower lynx.

If you really wanted to kitbash/repaint an upper half for Sky Lynx, it'd be cool if they could hook together in bot mode, but you'd really need a bird half at least the size of another Alternator.

Making some sort of model car that transforms into a bird wouldn't be THAT hard, if you stick with the relatively simple Sky Lynx type transformation. What would be completely awesome, would be to do one from another 1/24 Jaguar model car.

If you did another one, could the doors flip out and upside down in lynx mode to be painted inside red for the wings, then add the white areas you mentioned to make a complete Sky Lynx?

I think just making the car panels white will make him look more identical to Skylynx. A very nice paintjob nonetheless

Wasn't there a Toyota Camry Power Ranger RPM ( I believe) that turned into a bird? I remember someone saying they wanted to get their hands on one and make it into Laserbeak...i'm thinking that this is a much better repurpose for that toy mold.

    Oh here it is.

Lynx there looks pretty nice! Pesonally I wouldn't paint the hood white - it'd look like a mismatched part on the car if ya ask me. Have you thought about maybe lining the lower portions of the car white? Or maybe adding some white SS stripes? Use it as an accent color - that blue is too nice to see wiped.

Instead of painting the hood white why not do some sort of flying "bird" graphic on the hood have it wings swoop down the doors so when you transform him he looks a lil more GeeWun.
Why not start an art thread looking for a graphical inspiration of a flying bird mode Skylynx. That way you get the LOOK of Skylynx in bot mode, without having the mismatch parts look of a used car.

Indeed! There was also a Prius that turned into a tiger, wondering if that's what was used for the bot mode?
Anyhow you have done a sweet looking update to the "lynx" portion!

The paint job is great, whats to look rushed? if its done, its done.

I wouldn't paint the hood white, I think it would hurt the alt mode more than it would help the beast mode. if you really want both colours you should paint the top half of the car white and leave the body kit area blue.

you could also get that bird figure, paint him white, and just have it transform into the top half of skylynx, and have this guy as just the legs.

    great job none the less!

Very cool. I would grab that alternator (I think from Power Rangers) which TFs into a bird and do that as the bird part (all white/gold/red) then have it mount on top of this one.
