    Sears Catalog 1985

If only you could order through time via the Sears catalog, I would have one helluva xmas. I'll take a Flagg, Jetfire, Soundwave, Devastator, Insecticons, set of Dinobots, and both Voltrons in a heartbeat... at those prices ofcourse.

LoL at the horrible Devastator transformation.

Jetfire looks delicious. What series are number 25 and 26 from?

Wow. If there were 1 year I would go back and live over, just to experience it again (not change anything), it would probably be 1985. So much fun.

My grandma always had the good catalogs and when we would go to visit her in the fall/early winter, after dinner on Friday Night we would grab the catalogs and lay in front of her forced air propane furnace and look through the catalogs and I would just wish and dream.

Thanks for posting this. Great memories. I miss you grandma.

    EDIT: LOL @ "Slag Warrior/Dog"

I'm surprised they even got it to stand up. Seems Devestator should be faceplanting. I guess Scrapper's shovel is holding it up.
These mistransformations always amaze me. Can they not follow instructions? Even if they were just winging it, they should see the legs looking like they were on backwards.

Sears does sell toys near Christmas time (at least around here they do). Small section probably 3-4 rows 20 feet long.

Pfft I got all these already. :)

Sears was always mis-transforming Transformers in their catalogs.

I had this very catalog (I had my own personal copy of Sears Catalogs every year. Lot's of circling with bic pens). However, I must have never been paying attention since I do not remember Devastator costing $34.99!

Oh and I totally had that car watch. I broke that thing in the woods.

At least you remember what happened to it. My blue Optimus was one day just gone, and my Soundwave went from being complete to being head and accessory-less to also being gone.

That catalog has some interesting tidbits. I wonder if that's where the term "Seekers" originated?

I was in Kindergarten, and that is my favorite nostalgic year--the year of the best GI Joe episodes and toys.

Ahh, 1985! I remember it like it was yesterday. I was in 4th grade.

Ironic how I'm buying many of the toys featured in the catalog for the first time this year, since I never had them. It feels soooo good to finally own them!
