It was definitely meant to follow in the vein of the Borg. And we did purposely choose Classics Autobots that never really had any screen time in the Marvel/Classics universe. So there wasn’t any real emotional loss/attachment to the characters. But good grief, looking back that was that one of the darkest things we ever did lol. And while there was a vaccine created to prevent any additional assimilations, we never ‘cured’ those that were turned in to Junkions.
If you had more time to expand into more stories, you could have even had one of the characters who was assimilated reappearing and someone makes an off hand comment about Perceptor or Wheeljack reversing the process.
I suppose I wouldn't want an SG Jazz repainted from Studio Series '86 Jazz with a slight "evil" color scheme but that is probably what they would do. Thinking about it, I think the best choice would be a straight repaint of Studio Series Jazz with the color scheme of the G1 repaint of the original 2007 movie Jazz toy with the "evil racing theme" of the Botcon toy. Make the windows darker than the 2007 repaint but keep the dark blue stripes. Keep the Studio Series head as it looks like a twisted evil version G1 Jazz. Hopefully a 3P will make a smaller version of his original gun (aka Hot Shot’s) as well as a spoiler.
No interest in SG as a continuity, and I already have entirely too many copies of that mold, but damn. I want it.

As someone who spent his childhood enthralled by this universe you helped create, I actually quite like like what you all did for Ricochet. Even though it was as rushed as you say, you guys picked a sharp looking combo! ... Although, I will agree with you on Jazz. The double-use paintjob did hinder him imo. But I've seen someone on the customs board put his head on Movie Jolt, and I think those colors work SUPER well for him!
I couldn't agree more! As a kid, even if I couldn't afford to buy a transformer, I could still go to the toy aisle and be enthralled by the bios on the back. Some I still remember to this day. It just makes me sad that the kids of today won't get know how awesome that was.

This is exactly what happened to me - I never got into Shattered Glass, but I had Goldbug growing up and thought this would be fun to keep around until the day they may or may not do a more "traditional" Goldbug. So far it's the only SG figure I pre-ordered, unless I suddenly change my mind on that gorgeous Jetfire-Starscream.
Now that's what I'm talking about! A quick Google search brought me to the third one and the information was there, but it didn't look as nice. Now to put them all in a nice binder...
At first, i didnt care about these. But after seeing how bright and inviting the paint apps are, im tempted to get one of these. Even the packaging looks fun.
