I don't know... I'm less concerned with the price as it's on par with the Ultimates releases from Super 7 for the basic figures than I am the company behind it. I'll probably preorder if someplace like BBTS puts them up. The Toads at least anyway. Not particularly interested in the villains.
I’d be tempted by the toads! I played the shit out of Battletoads when I was a kid. I don’t know anything about this manufacturer or their products...the figures look good, though.
Premium DNA is linked to Megalopolis Toys. There's a thread on this board about what a shit show they turned out to be. Poll: About Megalopolis Toys... I myself had to threaten a bank chargeback on $200 worth of items from Megalopolis that after four months never shipped with promises of "shipping soon" every time I contacted them about it before they would actually refund me. Not a company I'd be willing to do business with again and Premium DNA being linked to them ...despite Megalopolis claiming otherwise... is a big turn-off for me. If BBTS carries these like they carried Premium DNA's Mad Balls and Barnyard Commandos lines then I might preorder through them as it'll be much safer if these never materialize much like many people's orders for in-stock toys never materialized from Megalopolis.
No problem. I figured some people probably missed the Megalopolis shit show or didn't know they were connected to Premium DNA.
I honestly seldom buy action figures for myself, rarer still online, so I've never heard of any of this. But it's definitely enough to make me steer clear.
I recall the Megalopolis issues...fortunately never got burned by them, though. The biggest question for me with these figures is DO I REALLY NEED ANOTHER FRANCHISE ON MY SHELVES? Lol... If they go up at BBTS, maybe I’ll just get a frog or two...
Battletoads is an awesome ass game series. It does make my heart happy that they're starting to make a comeback. It makes my heart less happy that they are inaccessible to my system.
I used to think of them as a TMNT knockoff when I was a kid at first, but they were unique enough that those notions faded. Big Bad Boot!
I never really thought of them that way. I just knew that the games were cool, had great music and tough as nails. Still is.
If these go upon Bbts I will order the Toads and GV. If they can make high quality Earthworm Jim figures I would happily buy those.
And Pimple and that princess that was in the early game's stories. Dark Queen and Pimple would be the two I'd be interested in. And please, no 2020 Dark Queen.
Did they forget Pimple? The pictures didn't load for me on the website for some reason, so I didn't actually see them. And 1990 Dark Queen only. The 2020 design is shitty.
I believe I read somewhere that they were holding back some characters for a potential wave two. Which is ballsy all things considered.
