Next week I wanto to see Pixar's latest film and now that Transformers is premiering on July 2nd at 8PM, I need to get the time off for that.

I have NO interest in seeing the latest Die Hard movie. A Die Hard movie without an R is like Pamela Anderson without her... "assets. "

So the lack of the second half of the word FUCKER is enough to boycott a movie these days?

No, the lack of extra gratuitous violence synonymous with the Die Hard Franchise is enough to not see it until it comes out on DVD.

Well I just finally saw the first Die Hard a couple weeks ago, at that pace I may see this one around 2026.

If the TRANSFORMERS reviews are so buoyed up by "plants", where are they for DIE HARD 4.0 then?

Definitely sounds like it'll be a DVD viewing from me for this flick. Sad to see the revolutionary, visceral original go the easy route and end up like this.

That's another franchise that joins ALIEN, TERMINATOR and STAR WARS by (for me) beginning and ending with the first instalment.

Willis himself said the only thing the pg-13 rating did to the movie was limiting the word fuck to twice. Everything else that made the 1st Diehard an amazing film is present and accounted for. In fact, he said it's better than the 1st. Now I realize that he needs to pimp his own film, but yeah.

Yet, in a different interview he had recently, he criticized Michael Bay and his own movie for being "restrained." He is sure to endorse the films he is in, but he may not like all of his roles. I think he is getting tired of John McLane, but loves the action and the enjoyment his fans get from seeing his movie. I'll probably see it just because it has HIM in it.

You have to realize Bruce is getting older and with old age comes problems. He's already had one major shoulder surgery, just look at the scar he has in Fifth Element, Die Hard 3 and other films. That is not makeup.

The studios are convinced that R rated movies do not make as much money as PG or PG-13 rated movies. You'll notice that just about all of the summer blockbuster type movies are not R rated. It's complete crap and obviously a decision made by a corporate suit. I officially don't care to see Die Hard 4 anymore and will probably wait for the unrated dvd.

Ditto, even if it sucks there is probably going to be more quality murderising then any other action film this year aside from John Rambo.

Yeah, the degree of "watered-down" that this guy is talking about sounds really marginal to me. Definitely not enough to make the film completely unwatchable or anything.

Fuck it. I'm there opening weekend. I have to admit, I've been psyched about this film since I saw the trailer way back when in the spring.
