He's prolly blue to trick parents and retailers into thinking its a new toy. Also-I still see the normal fallen everywhere-so they had go drastically different. I'm getting this because I like the new headsculpt and staff. And I actually like that color scheme. I need a new fallen anyways-the one I have had horrible QC issues.
I think it would've been nice to just have not given him an alt mode at all, just focus on making him as accurate and as ominous as possible. If they were worried about sales for the kids, just add lights and phrases, accessories, a matrix, staff, chair, hatchlings, etc.
Well, if blue The Fallen has ""give me your face" action!" as the rumor says, then third party companies could probably make bonus faces to slip on instead of the normal head.
Is their a way to take the New Fallen's hands off and place it on the original Fallen's so he can hold the staff he should have been given to the first place. Then I'l rip off his face. See this is what i hate about the movies toylines. The release the figure at first with a unaccurate paintjob, and then a year and a half later they re-release the figure in a accurate deco.....Damn it, I know why they do this..To make money but i hate it when they do it, Because i want it and what am i to do with the original.
...it's also in part because when they start designing toys they don't have the final animation model, but yeah the double-dip thing is a very convenient consequence of that.
It's probably because of the slight blue tint his movie model had, and with Hasbro announcing that final version will be darker I think my theory is even more likely.
I wish they could've made him slightly more movie-accurate too... but we can't get everything we want, so... I would've totally bought him too. But the blue colour is just so unseemly.
