I have been wondering, in all the movie lines there is always a gimmick. In transformers it was automorph, in transformers rotf it was mech alive, and in dotm it was mech tech.

So what gimmick would you like to see in the transformers 4 toy line? Personally I would like to see them incorporate built in weapons into the figures. Also I woulld like too see them put the figures before the gimmicks?

So tell me whaat would YOU like to see in trasformers 4 toy line

I second that. Please no mech tech gimmick. If they a gimmick, the mech alive is sufficient. Other than that, I wish the toys will go back to the sizes of the first movie and ROTF toys.

Finally, please give us leader class toys of the main characters where appropriate. E.g. In DOTM, we should have a leader class Shockwave instead of Bumblebee.

Yes yes. No pointless gimmicks, decent faces and back to "proper" deluxe sizes.

Being able to dance on command.

Seriously, I don't want them have any gimmicks that interfere with the figure's articulation.

Yeah that is a point, we want transformers to go back to normal size. As well as having better face sculpts and good size classes. E.g. not having bumblebee as a leader :mad

I'd like to see a gimmick where high end TFs had adjustable keys for certain joints. That way, some stuff could be loose for smooth posing & transformation, but also tightenable for retaining the poses. This would mainly be effective on heavy figures, but I think collectors would appreciate it more than firing missiles & shit. Also, a small amount of rubber on the bottoms of their feet couldn't hurt either, and if we're gonna do electronics, maybe they could have sensors to react differently when in close proximity to other figures in the same line (or that otherwise had the right chips or whatever in em).

Aside from transforming, I heavily enjoyed the clip system.

Yes I agree with others. Being a transformer the transformation is the main gimmick they should work on that first. Since Automorph and Mech alive were part of the transformation those would be welcomed back, don't care for much else.

i'd like traditional weapons and accessories to come back like with dotm que and topspin. other than that, transforming really needs to be the only line-wide gimmick.

Initially, I really disliked the movie line but after fiddling with my movie toys, especially the ROTF line I really appreciate the toys and the engineering. I was actually looking forward to Hasbro building on the ROTF line like how the latter improved on the first movie toys. E.g. The improvements of Leader Class Optimus and Megatron.

Instead we got smaller figures, everything was down sized with stupid gimmicks for the WEAPONS. The plastic and finishing felt cheaper also. E.g. Deluxe Soundwave. Hasbro should have kept the mech alive gimmick and retain the sizes of the toys.

The only gems in the DOTM line (IMO) were leader class Sentinel, HA Soundwave, maybe deluxe Crankcase and the Cyberverse line. I would have considered the Wreakers but they seems so half baked such as incomplete sponsor logos etc.

Leader Class Ironhide was a nice surprised but I would rather see a more relevant/important character getting the slot such as a new Megatron or Shickwave. Either of those two would be impressive.

I guess it speaks volumes when the Cyberverse stole the show for DOTM line...at least for me.

But looking on the bright side of things, Hasbro isn't as bad as some other toy companies. I just hope they improve the case ratios. In my country, the pegs are loaded with Bumblebees. Many a times, I've seen many kids complaining to their parents of the lack of other characters.
