Strafe's transformation looks so boring. His robot mode is literally a jet standing up with his head extended.

Yeah, these don't look very interesting at all. Time, development, and price can change everything, but right now it's a yawn.

    Thanks for the tip tho!

    Scattershot ain't any better.

Then again, these designs don't appear to deviate much from the original Scramble City figures, so that's pretty much a given.

Those are some shitty drawings, but who cares. Do you all really think the toys are going to look like that? Why even HAVE a judgement of a toy based on sketches that you know look nothing like a toy.

Given time, these could be quite good.

Early days yet by the looks of it.

If they don't want people to have opinions about them, why release the drawings? If you release a drawing of a toy you might sell later and that's all we have to go on, that is 100% of our impression of it. I can't look at a drawing and not have an opinion of it. I can't look at a drawing of a toy and not try to think whether I would want to buy that toy. If a drawing of a toy appears on a message board I frequent, I'll probably share how I feel about it. If they don't want these discussions to occur, don't release the drawings.

But since they did release the drawings, I say.. not too interested. Even compared to other drawings. Might be interested later.

I guess it'd be one thing if the drawings looked like actual toy mockups, but... they don't. I doubt that these will really look like those at all. That's more where I'm coming from than anything. If it were a cad mockup or something, I'd really empathize more to people being one way or another about them.

As I said though, with that, I look forward to seeing what translates into actual CAD and prototypes.

Here's hoping they do A LOT more to these figures. After all... look at how great the TFC Constructicons came out. Nice that they think it should look G1-esque, but they ought to deviate from the molds enough to make them interesting. Hell, didn't stop them from deviating on the Herc Bots... only Structor stayed pretty true to the g1 design.

Is it silly of me to wish they'd be scaled to the Energon Gestalts tho? Herc was awesome, but the price point... ugh, see my sig.

Yea yea... Maketoys is apparently going to make a Computron too (why can't they do another Gestalt first? >_>) but eh... their Giant isn't as impressive save for the Gestalt mode... which is why I went for the far more expensive Herc... and should both Computron attempts come out in a similar timeframe, I'll try to get the TFC one as well.

The gap between sketches and cad drawings is huge, and it's vey hard to judge based on these loose sketches.

But I have faith based on the physical product I have seen already

Computron was the closest to complete gestalt I had as a kid, so any speak of an update version has my interest. However, these early sketches don't exactly have me jumping for joy. I might change my opinion later on in their development process, but since I didn't really dig the parts or the whole of Hercules, I'll just remain mildly intrigued on this one for the time being.

I like the idea their doing the techno bots but I want to see some actual designs. The only thing I see here are ideas and not implementation. Guess I was hoping for something further along the pipeline lol.

Looking at Scattershot I get a Hover-Tank / Dana Sterling vibe.

With articulation etc these could wind up pretty cool. I wanna know about SIZE :)
