The only thing that will bother me with this figure is the blue cab. Makes me wonder why they went that way instead of all black.

To differentiate it from the inevitable Nemesis Prime

That bothers the heck out of me too, they went too movie style with him thats for sure. Mine will be losing that as well as the ugly flames too, why they didn't just go for something like the original colour scheme I'll never know, especially the orange windows :wtf:

Finally got it after waiting forever for the parcel to clear customs (2 weeks!). Not super impressed, the alt mode doesn't seem to be all that sturdy, you kinda have to massage it to get it right and in robot, that amber tab on the right shoulder is in the way of posing. Surprised no one has mentionned that obvious design flaw yet. Looks good though, weapon is pretty clever and I like how the wheels retracts in the legs.

Got him today and while he's pretty neat as far as transformation goes getting him to transform back into truck mode is a little frustrating when I try to connect his legs to the back of the cab.

I shaved translucent orange tab on the right shoulder so it doesn't get in the way and make the right shoulder askew.

I really like mine. If the forearms could bend a little further up and down, he might've been my favorite deluxe Prime.

Is the front end of the truck still solid with that tab removed or does it want to split a little?

If anyone’s bothered by the orange windows, you can just leave them folded in during transformation to truck. I think it looks a ton better and you can barely see the head when you look in there from the side.

The more I look at this figure, the more it looks like what Movie Prime *could* have been if they were with a more traditional look.

Nope. As long as you leave enough of the translucent tab, everything should still hold together fine.

I wasn't really planning to buy this guy, but since BBTS sold out of Wreck-Gar and Perceptor pre-orders so quickly, I decided to order the whole wave (I liked BB's new colors enough to replace my Classics, and I figure Prime was just a bonus).

Maybe it's cos my expectations were low, but he's cooler than I thought. I didn't really want him because I didn't see the need of a new Laser Prime that's smaller than the original, especially when the original was so ground-breaking. And I wasn't looking forward to a Scourge redo either, cos Black Convoy was so perfect as is.

But actually having the toy, it's quite cool. His range of motion is slightly limited by how many blocky parts he has, but he has a lot more joints than the original. Naturally, most toys today are more articulate than Laser Prime, who doesn't even have thigh swivels. But this guy seemed to go out of his way to add new joints that a lot of modern guys don't even have. After all, if you're gonna homage a toy that was known for it's advanced articulation, you have to advance it even further, right? The part I really like is the wrists, which not only swivel, but can pivot up and down. His ball-jointed ankles are very helpful too, and luckily he doesn't have loose joints.

He's tiny and he's not perfect, but he's a lot better than I was expecting. I'm still hoping we get Toxitron for Botcon or something. I

Got mine today and while he's a really neat figure the middle wheel on the right side of the car is the wrong wheel an so it doesn't move into place correctly and it had caused a piece of plastic to be shaved off right out of package. suppose I'll email bbts about it and see if I can get him replaced.

seems to help, might have to paint that and the windscreen though (of all the colours why orange? clear would have been preferable as thats what the original had.
