Quick silly question, but I was wondering if there was a guide book out there that show how to draw automobiles in the streamline style that they are in animated. I really like the way they are designed in the cartoon.

Make sure they change shape when they talk. :)

Pretty sure that there isn't a particular TF Book but...

You may want to go out and look for Art Books for the Pixar film "Cars". I see a lot of similarities in the two styles. You could also look up some stuff on general Car Design. I'm pretty sure that the people that make these cartoons are formally trained to draw more traditional types of vehicles - they just modify the style to simplify things for the cartoon. There are books on Car Design that you could find at Borders or Barnes and Noble... OOORRR.... you could look online for some quicker finds. Try googling 'Design Studio Press', 'Herald Belker', or 'Scott Robertson' for starters and see where that leads you.

    Good luck,
    -ej.

this may sound off topic a bit, but somehow Bumblebee reminds me in a small way of the new Honda Civic Type R

Seems to happen in varying degrees from time to time, but definitely not as much (or as obviously) as the pilot, probably because the Autobots have less reason to stay in vehicle mode, compared to them trying to 'blend in' by staying in vehicular form originally.

Maybe it was done in the pilot movie/episode to clarify its them speaking in vehicle mode... for the very slow newcomers to the TF world.

Probably right. They seem to want to do something most times, like using flashing lights/windows/canopies for when robots in vehicle mode talked in the Cybertron series.
