Here is my version of RiD Scourge. He is cloaking/de-cloaking, like a Predator. I combined a junker Scourge and a YotG Prime to make this. I have two versions. The one with the trailer should be up on ebay soon. I stripped all the paint off Prime, and repainted everything. Some of the clear pieces had to soak in brake fluid for a few weeks to get that nasty lead-based paint off. It left a nasty yellow discoloration. I am still waiting on Reprolables to do a restoration kit for the chest. Yes, the lights do still all work. EDIT: Finished them. He's going on ebay soon.
Did you try using rubbing alcohol to get the paint off. I did it on a few POTP figures. Let it soak for a few hours and lightly removed it with a toothbrush. Looks awesome though
Rubbing Alcohol isn't strong enough for most paints. Soaked in Purple Power and then Brake Fluid. Turpentine has a tendency to make clear plastics cloudy, which is what happened to the arms. Why not?
Very cool. Neat concept. Now you need to make an Optimus caked with mud like Arnie did, so Scourge can't see him.
Hey all. I got the sticker set in from Reprolables, so I was able to finish up over the weekend. I'm really happy with this now. I'm going to throw it on ebay soon if anyone is interested.
Question - You said the paint's lead based, right? If so then yikes, there goes my want for YOTG Prime.
