There have been a few images from inside the center, so it's wholey believable. I'm still pissed we haven't seen Ultra Magnus's face or learned when Arcee will be "coming to major retailers".

No. It was confirmed upon Arcees official reveal that she would be available early at Hascon with an exclusive Ultra Magnus and would later be available at mass retail. Plus it's also written in the blue plaque right there in the picture. They keep saying it but haven't given a date.

 

They never said the Ultra Magnus was exclusive to Hascon. I can't find the exact verbiage, but they said the set would be available elsewhere after Hascon. Not just Arcee.

And I don't think that was it's first appearance either!

 

"Mass retail" was never said. I would expect it to be HasbroToyShop.com as the "retailer" it's available at later.

 

The bottom of that blue sign in all caps seems to read: A new early release available for purchase for the first time at Hascon before landing at other major retailers.

Tell me about it. They sure kept what his face looks like under lock and key. Been expecting some sort of leak this whole time but nothing.

I still doubt it's going to see a general retail release. It doesn't fit any established price points, and the packaging ist a one-of-a-kind design.

 

I'd personally bet on a limited release more like the Walgreens clones, or just HTS. I'd be thrilled to be wrong and have it see general retail.

My suspicon is that Arcee & Magnus are one of a pair, the other being an unnamed Deluxe and the unaccounted for Scorponok Titanmaster that, like Magnus, looks like a boxset reject.

 

Seems like a good Black Friday release. I know it's been awhile since Hasbro has done any kind of Transformers gift set, but there's nothing stopping them from doing it now. This could be a good pattern to start, early release at Hascon, general release at the holiday season.

 

They still do them in the movie line, like the Target 1 and/or 3 step figure sets.

 

Oh yeah, I forgot about the set of Rashformers that I keep seeing at Target.
