Got sort of a mixed feeling about this one. I like it a little more than the bigger Megs in some ways, and less in others. The jet mode looks pretty terrible to me though. Definitely going to need a good look in person on this one.

Megatroptimus doesn't like TM BW? Ahhh, now I understand everything. :)

I own all released molds of Megatron and I've been disapointed with most of the recent ones. Yet I manage to see the good in that one despite the weird alternate mode. The robot mode easily tops Cybertron Megatron, Energon Megatron, Armada Megatron, RID Megatron, MW Megatron and TM2 Megatron in my book.

I can stand TM Meg, TM Depthcharge and TM Rampage, that's about it.

And for sure Leader Megatron will be my favorite after G1 Meg, G2 Meg and MP Meg.

Wow, that actually looks a lot better than it did with the initial pics. I'm still only getting the Leader version, but this one is pretty nice as well.

Wonder how easy it'll be to actually get the "ice" off... If it doesn't leave 'peg holes', I may try it.
Nice pictures by the way - Definately 'warming' to this fella thanks to them!

myguess is he has ice because, like in some of theproduction photos, meg is frozen in ice. and im also gonna guess he awakens and is thawed out or breaks free of the ice, prob some chuncks still frozen on and probably lays waste to where ever he was being held (the first megatron action scene) so i can see the justification in making a partially frozen megatron figure. i like it. though he kinda makes a nice cryotech type figure too i think.

I think it looks OK, and I like the size and poseability of the robot mode, but the alt mode is still mis-transformed - it looks like his claws are retractable, and the wings should be positioned differently (the Leader Class toy, IDW prequel comic and various concept art sketches all show this, as well as the left and right 'trident prongs' on the jet being angled parallel to the cannon/nosecone, rather then leaning into it).

A piece of the robot backpack looks like it might cover his head in jet mode as well - there's a lot of hinges and separate pieces that surely move about between modes.

And finally, in robot mode - if the hinges allow - the wings should fold flat against his back as oversized shoulder blades. Much like the beast machines Maximals, there seems to be a design ethos for movie robot modes to have a minimal ammount of kibble, even if the proportions end up distorted.

    Otherwise, great pictures!

Not too far off Classics Jetfire then, really.
And pretty much exactly like the much revered G1 Seeker design then. Only their legs didn't even move at all, only their feet. However from the person who wrote this about the Movie Megatron toys before we even saw them:
I suppose we're lucky that the only argument you gave was such an amusing one.
