Most recently a couple weeks ago at Shakopee Walmart. Shakopee Target is full of SS deluxes, a voyager Prime and one Blackout. I grabbed the one Grimlock after watching some reviews today.
I didn't see any at Bville target, but that aisle was kind of a mess and I tend to just gloss over them at this point. Either way, nothing of note in general there. I really like him. Articulation could be better for a leader and I think they could have done his dino legs better, but I like the verdigris look to him and the detail overall is pretty killer.
Did I miss Unicronus ? I'm a sucker for black repaints but haven't been out and about @ retail. Curse you Target.
I've only seen it at Walmart but not in at least a couple weeks. Target will eventually get it I assume. Walmart is weird and looks like it is already getting rid of Potp Leaders and Voyagers for Studio Series stuff.
Wave 3 Deluxes, Wave 2 PMs, and Wave 2 Leaders are *just* hitting Manilla. So I'm guessing the few we saw were an early burst and the real wave is going to start hitting the US in fuller distribution.
Yeah, I feel like I got mine at Bloomington WalMart(or wait, did you pick that one up for me, T-Hybrid?). I've also seen a lot of lone OP's, so could be scalpers? Seems like a weird choice to scalp, tho.
I spotted one at the AV Walmart and gave you the heads up, but I can't remember if you ended up grabbing it or if you later found the one you have. Those black repaints are insanely popular...look at the response to the PotP Nemesis Prime reveals. OP was already the more popular of the two molds, so he was out selling Rodimus, and then people saw the initial reviews and figured they'd pass on the mold until Unicronus came out. So now most people who want Optimus have probably found one, so the Rodimii are collecting dust while the OPs shipping with Unicronus hit an already saturated market. I have *no* idea why they put Optimus in all three waves. That's going to make Primal such a hard thing to find at retail.
Yeah, Nemesis Prime is one thing, I'm just surprised a lot of people would go nuts for Lemmy Rodimus. I think they put OP in all 3 ways because he's a MAIN main character and the figure seems like it's supposed to be sort of the gold standard for non-MP OP bot modes? Like the ROTF leader prime of the generations subline.
Went to Northtown TRU today and saw they still had like four of those exclusive movie Thundercracker figures...as well as now suddenly having like 8 of the Combiner Wars G2 Superion! Did TRU just get a TON of these things and never bothered until this liquidation stuff to put them out?
Argenta Hills Target has a full assortment of Wave 1 Studio Series, all size classes. Also a Snarl. How much is that G2 set...
I've heard multiple TRU employees say there's still a few warehouses full of stuff, and so they're still getting new trucks. That said, what the heck, no Thundercrackers in Bville???
I think with the 15% Off it's around $57-58 for the G2 Superion? That's what I recall anyway it looking like.
Stopped in at the Blain TRUs.. still only 15% on TF.. Bought the Cybertron exclusive .Still more than I feel it's worth. But,had to take the opportunity,since I live a ways away..Picked up a G2 Superion as well. Plenty of those left. No more Cybertrons though... Didn't have much time to just check out other figures..
