I bought Allspark power Nightwatch Optimus Prime, and then compared it with japanese verson. No only the paint but the lighting gimmick is different. You can check it in my blog. http://tw.myblog.yahoo.com/jw!OZs6zFiYAg_kkagy1C9.xrqw6x8Hu4I-/article?mid=796&prev=-1&next=781 I think this news is not so new. I just share how surprise I am. The japanese version looks like "Cyclops" And allspark powe version looks like "Soundwave," especially when it's lighting. Oh my god, I bought it just because i didn't find deep desert brawl~~~~
Yeah, it's been known. As strange and at first impossible to believe as it was, two different Nightwatch Primes exist. The first version of Nightwatch Prime came out in the UK first, and is the same version released in Japan later, without the Allspark Blue. When Hasbro finally had NWP slated for release in the Allspark Power line, we got the version you now have.
There is no question regarding the paint. The question is about the light gimmick. EDIT: You're not getting it. The face DOES light up. A single led right between the eyes.
... Point. I would think someone with the older Nightwatch would have noticed that Prime's eyes don't light up, so it's probably not new news, but definitely not a well-known difference. Mostly, I'm trying to figure out why that's the case. Hasbro skimped on electronics just to shove some pre-Allspark Nightwatches out the door, and into the hands of Takara-Tomy? Not sure I get the "cyclops" comment.
No, both of their eyes light up。 But JAP/UK version just lights up in one point between two eyes. The luminosity is not high. So i said it looks like "Cyclops." Just feel funny.
Well there's your problem. It's not bright enough to photograph properly, as I couldn't - and still can't - really see any light coming out of the eyes! Ok, looked again, and I can now. I should have looked more closely at Prime's nose. That is just... ugh. Could be a manufacturing error, with a LED missing or something?
I hate you and I hate your posts. You are living proof that a poster's count has no relationship to their value. We should fight with knives.
