Does anyone know if Cullen will be voicing Optimus in the Animated series?

 

david kaye is optimus.strange,since he's been megs so long.corey burton is megs-he was g1 shockwave.

 

I thought Frank Welker was Soundwave?

welker was soundwave,the blue tape deck.
burton was shockwave,the purple,one-eyed space gun.

 

Burton was also G1 Spike.

Welker was the majority of the G1 TFs.

now he's megatron,last i heard.i can see that--it's kaye as prime that i want to see to believe.

 

now that i think about it,he really should be the new soundwave too,after the disaster that was cybertron soundwave.

 

oh come on. cybertron soundwave had the vocoder and his dialog was all based around music puns. I liked it. Welkers original was better but still he was interesting and versatile unlike other stiff whited cybertron characters.

If welker plays megatron again it will be extra weird having kay as prime. Because that's two former megatron actors in opposing leader roles. Awesome.

 

Kaye was hilarious at BotCon. Nicest guy too.

 

As of right now, Peter Cullen is not voicing any TFAnimated characters, nor is Frank Welker. However, given both are from the same "pool" that Cartoon Network pulls talent from, there is a possibility they may have smaller cameo roles at some point.

No information has been revealed on who will voice Soundwave in TF Animated.

 

Including Wheelie.

I second this. Pool with David Kaye and Gary Chalk in 2003 (maybe it was 2004? Gah...Chicago OTFCC anyway), was pretty sweet. One of them sucked almost as much as me!  

Also ran into Kaye after the show closed down, as I was breaking down my dealer booth for this year's BotCon. He was out front, and was great about getting a quick picture and signing my camera.   I didn't have anything representing his character handy you see. But the camera is ten times cooler now.

yes. that's what i heard. David Kay will be doing Grimlock as well as prime so that should be interesting. i really hope Welker does Soundwave in animated. if he doesn't the role needs a raspy dr claw voice under the vocoder so we can understood what's being said.

fwiw Burton will be reprising his role as shockwave in animated. in G1 he also did Alpha Trion, Brawn, Sunstreaker, Wideload, Dion, Vector Sigma
