    There are actually quite a few 84-85 guys that have seen no love since those years.

    Yeh, could we possibly see a few G1 characters that havent been done to death already? Post G1 Movie characters would definitely be nice. Personally, I'd just like to see them make the Seacon set many of us have been begging for a long time now. That or since there are still good beast molds out there, why not a new Predaking?....like the one I had described roughly a year and a half ago.

    I'd like to see Trailbreaker, Hound, Wheeljack, Blurr, Arcee, Kup, Reflector, hell, any of the G1 characters we don't usually get to see.... Jazz.

    Oh yeh, forgot about that. That one is pretty darned nice but not exactly what I had in mind tho. What I had mentioned all those months ago was a retool of the old BW Magnaboss mold to create a new Predaking. I know, however, that they want to use more recent molds to create the toys so my idea is probably moot. Also since there are only 3 toys in the Magnaboss set, it probably wouldnt have appealed to MC since they like doing sets of 5 to 7 toys.

    Please, PLEASE no. The suckiness of the two pack Megs and/or Prime would destroy the potential coolness of any other toy in the set. I pray to any god who would listen that they don't make that mistake. Those are the two worst deluxes I've purchased over the past few years.

    While I don't think they are the worst, they certainly aren't good that's for sure.

    That's why I said "worst I have purchased" because I usually avoid toys that have no redeeming value whatsoever. These two looked like they had decent robot modes, but I can't get either of them to stay in one piece in robot mode, so it's kind of pointless to try. I won't even start on Prime's vehicle mode. Megs had potential there too, but his turret is a mess.

    I really, REALLY hope they don't recolor those two molds.

    Don't worry, it'll be seekers, I have no doubts about that (or should that worry you? :p ). Prolly with another Astrotrain, or maybe some Minibot repaints. Plenty of options there, wern't there Botcon exclusive minibots before anyway? They might just do Glyph and co.

    Still, if you look, there's always other less expected options. Especially if you would remold some parts. :)  As you can tell from the few I've done, it's very easy to do homages by taking a mold with a roughly similar alt and/or botmode, with at least some traits from the original char, while adding classic character inspired colours to it in the proper places for insta-recognisability.

    Wish they would have considered that with the movie designs. :(  Oh well... Not my thing anymore since long anyway... :(  (And wish people understood that bit about homaging chars in more than name when their names are used, before they're telling you you want nothing but G1 and thus can be ignored... How hard is it to at least get a colorscheme right? -__-' *traumatised*)

    Ahhhh I misread your last post. I agree with you. These do not need to be used ever again.

    I'm looking my club magazine over, and all I see about Breakaway is that it mentions what mold it will be. No picture at all, unless I am overlooking it.

    While I’ll agree that the two pack prime is the worst TF since A sideswipe megatron is great, the turret clips together well in tank mode, greatly possible and while the funky spinning arm is so not megatron he make a really nice bludgeon, would be improved by doing something else with the cannon but still not a bad toy over all.

    Oh and swapping the feet is a must.

    Exclusives to be unrelated to the movie

    Not sure if this has already been posted in this thread. So if it has, my apologies

    According to a post by Pete on Allspark.com this year's Exclusive set is not related to the movie

    No offense, but we knew that since it was stated the set would be classics related and the movie is not classics related AT ALL.

    Okay my thoughts:

    Grimlock = Trypticon? We did see that Black/Purple test shot a whles back, could have been for that, or I could be mistaken
    Prime = Diaclone Magnus Colors?
    BB = Tap-Out or Gold Bug?
    Starscream = Ghost of Starscream?

    Repaint Twins: Last year we had the Laserbeak and Buzzsaw, this year maybe:

    Starscream = Sunstorm and Generic Seeker?
    Cyb. Armorhide = Huffer and Pipes

    Uber Expensive fig:

    Megatron = Shockwave with remolded head and hand?
