Searched and searched, can't find anything definitive saying that this'll be shown in IMAX theaters.

But I mean, besides 300, Spiderman 2 & 3, LoTR, and Matrix 3, Superman Returns and Harry Potter #5 were, so Transformers seems like a guarantee, right?

If they do release it in IMAX make sure you see it on the conventional flat screen, not one of those "total immersion" planetarium-like domes. I did that with Superman Returns and, though the wide panoramic shots looked okay, I got to see waaaay too much of Kevin Spacy's nostrils in the close ups.

So true. I had a horrible experience with Batman Begins in the domed IMAX, I've never had motion sickness before but after that, I have a good idea what it feels like to have it. Went and saw it on a nice digital screen and it was infinitely better.

Transformers would be tight as a mofo on IMAX. I keep picturing bonecrusher skating on the highway at 80+ mph on a 50 ft screen. That would kick major tuchis!

300 was a crock of shit in the imax, what the hell is the point in showing a regular film in an imax, its just blown up and blurry.... is transformers even shot in HD?

there's probably already too much happening visually in the movie. putting it on a huge screen would just hurt people.
