I'm actually surprised that there aren't more people who spends about the same as me - surely there are other vintage collectors and whatnot around who spend about the same?

Maybe I really do need to cut back a bit...

You're probably the most vocal about your spending - I imagine there are others in your spending ballpark who just aren't speaking up. I *could* spend that much, but I cap myself. I find that the vacation to Alaska or Greece (ie, experiences) hold far better memories for me than the figures on my shelf ( as much as I like them). To each his own though!

As for my spending, mostly 3P, MP, and a few customs. Maybe up to 5k over the year...I'll keep a tally.

 

Memories fade a lot faster than plastic does, man.
Just sayin'.  

 

But you would have a MUCH better time. With TF figures you're competing with scalpers and searching for the figures you want on online retailers. Why would you give up an awesome vacation than hoard material things?

All I really want right now is a Vehicon. I found one while on vacation and left it for literarily a minute. When I came back, it was already gone. So, he's the only toy I really want right now. I might get BH Smokescreen, if he's not too short. I would get MP Soundwave, but I'm waiting for a US release.

 

not too much......Im a CHUG guy only.and if that goes on Hiatus Ill just play catchup on Beast Wars.which is whjat Ive done every time Classics goes on a break.

hopefully TF gets a good shot in the arm next year with the next movie......and maybe Hasbro will deign to do Mirage from DOTM when they do release the TF4 stuff.

I don't get the fuss about spending 18k for Transformers. If you have the disposable income why not?

I could easily see me spending this much If I had the funds, the display space....
