I finally got back on the Alt. Bandwagon, and I got some of the bubble packed toys, but I can't figure out how to open it without mauling the box. How do you folks open these packages?

I cut three sides along the top, leaving the shortest edge at the back still attached. Then I open up the card and cut the tape along the plastic tabs. All done correctly, you get the bubble to fold up using the remaining edge as a hinge, and the bubble beneath still slots in to secure the Alt in package. Done it for four, it's worked for four. Good to keep them that way for display, especially with the bubble boxes showing them off so well.

I just cut the bubble off. I keep the bottom box part and the artwork inside the bubble. With everythin I collect I haven't got room to store the bubbles intact.

I use a similar method- 1. cut off the bubble, 2. cut open the bottom card and slice through the tape attaching the tabs of the inner bubble to the card.

I like your idea of leaving the bubble semi-attached- I always end up taping it back on afterward for storage.

I use a box cutter and cut where the bubble is clued to the box and work my way around three sides, leaveing the back as a hinge.

I used to slit the old boxes with an exacto and save, but now I just rip 'em open and toss the box.

I use a SHARP knife and cut open the top with extreme prejudice. With the bottm, I just find an opening and run my knife around there. Generally I buy at least two of each figure, one specifically for MIB display.

For the figures where I have more then two, such as Mirage, Jazz, Prowl, and others, I just tear the top open and may leave the instructions inside the bottom unless a gun or something is in there.

Tear them open by any means necessary... then recycle the cardboard.

I gently cut the the tape and the bubble off, untie all the little twist ties, and then rip the box up and throw it in the trash.

I recycle them as well. In fact, I had some boxes piling up in my room I cleared out and I had many boxes and bubbles I recycled. I generally will seperate the bubble from the cardboard when recycling.

    Sounds familiar hehe

I try cutting mine under the bubble and above the cardboard (through the glue) but I end up getting the cardboard si Ijust cut the bubble around the seams.
Maybe a hair dryer will get that glue off better so I dont have to cut anything.

    So basically it's this
