Why do I feel like once these are found in store and reported here, it will be too late..

If they're anything like mine, they should be on shelves in your region within a week.

 

That's what I thought about the Velocitron Box Set, but that DC didn't start shipping those out to stores for over a month after they got them in. Yet the Cybertron Primus redeco started hitting stores yesterday, only a day after they showed arriving at the DC. I've given up speculating with that level of inconsistency.

 

Well this is a good opportunity to get myself a brand new one as the one I currently have has now broken, so devastated  

 

How does one know when the local distribution center gets these? Is it inside info, or is there a way for common folks to know?

 

I'm sure I will be able to find these in my area once they are available because there are still bumblebees floating around in a few stores. The masterpiece line doesn't seem to sell out that fast at all around here. But this also may be the one exception. I know acid and sun storm clogged the shelves forever and the year of horse and goat editions lingered as well.

But I look forward to getting a new mp-10, one that I should be able to fool around with a bit more since my current one has a lot of extra paint work. But it will be nice that I can display my painted one in a repair bay mode and then have this new one probably in vehicle mode.

 

Well.. when you cite all the worst sellers....

How about starscream? Grimlock?

 

my store had like 6 starscreams and 5 grimlocks, had to line up 3 hours before opening

 

Uuuuuuus...no, this will sell like hot cakes just like last time. You had substorms and acid storms stirring around forever cause no one wanted them, and so did I. However, my store got 4 soundwaves in, I had to line up at the door in order to get one. My store got 2 Optimus primes in the first time, I only got one because I knew the manager and he held me one (and before anyone says anything this was waaaaaay before I started working there). We got in 4 Grimlocks gone the same day, 8 bumblebees gone in a week, 6 starscreams gone in two weeks, and I never even saw a prowl on the shelf...

 

I'm trying to figure out why they don't just create more product. If MP10 Optimus is basically like printing money and each re-release sees an increase in retail rate.. the scarcity is mostly just benefiting scalpers.
It sounds like if I don't have an inside tip then I will not be able to purchase an upcoming product from TRU.. frustrating.

 

Let me know when you find an answer to this one. It will answer a lot of collecting questions I have...

 

Heads up, my DC will have these next week and they usually ship stuff out immediately. Should be in shelves by this time two weeks from now!

Thanks! I would assume the mid-atlantic area would be sometime after Texas.. Fingers crossed they get more than 2 per store! The hunt is on come mid July.. I'm going to be going nuts calling and visiting every TRU within an hour driving radius.

I got an email ad from TRU talking about the MP-10 at Comic Con and then found articles about it on Action Figure Insider and elsewhere.

 

Adding this to my list of Primes I'm buying.
