So, like many people, I didn't like the way Grimlock's weapon looked and decided to do something about it. However, after doing the first steps of the standard mod I realized that I lacked the drill bit I needed to get his weapon to come back together. However, looking at the cut off bits I did have... I decided to do something a bit different and give Grimlock two weapons. The mace/morning star was the easiest to make. I just cut the blade end off the shaft and then removed the hand grip from the staff. Now Grimlock holds his mace properly. The next required some ultimate strength crazy glue and further cutting. I removed the hand grip's main piece and trimmed the end blade a bit and glued them together. Then I used some standard black testor paint to make the weapon pop better. The end result is a double bladed battle knife for the barbarian king. The great part of this mod is that all the pieces now store cleaning in T-rex mode. The mace head goes on his tail, the shaft is head against his bodyby his chest/hip guards and his tail, and the blade slides between the bottom of his tail and the club.
