I like how the fan club, is taking a chunk of stock away from SDCC/HTS, slapping a $50 profit onto their stock, and running a lottery.

Instead of, you know, letting fans preorder this shit, for the MSRP, and being a club for fans, rather than a club to exploit fans.

It is only a comic, so I'm pretty sure it will actually happen. It doesn't take that much to publish one since it is coming from an established independent studio if my memory serves me correctly.

How do they still have the Macross license after all this time? Usually companies lose rights to the show and any trademarks associated after a certain amount of time. The way Harmony has been able to camp on and sue over macross is insane. Can't be good for the original Japanese creator. They'd get much more if someone tried to handle the license normally.

Toynami confirmed it is reissuing MP voltron in the classic toy colors "metalic paint and chrome", LED eyes, and the unreleased display stand.

Since toynami also made the original book style "mp" VF's then I would assume those will be reissued to.

 

The people who buy the GI-Joe set on TFCC store whill get robbed three times:

1) Opportunity - TFCC taking stock away from HTS
2) Price - $50 gouge
3) Their credit card numbers - because we all know how much we can trust the damn club with our information

Come on now. That 50% markup is to make sure that only "true fans" would want to buy it, since if you are paying that markup you probably don't intend to resell it unlike many of the HTS sales.

Agreed the collectors club should have a set stock of this stuff to sell to club members, hell, be an outlet for the masterpieces to begin with as im sure its mainly adults.

 

The lottery actually makes a lot of sense and is in some ways better than the first come first serve order rush. The markup is absolute garbage. Why play that lottery when you can guarantee one off ebay for not much more?

Looks like Funpub will be the one selling the Transformers and Joe leftovers and not HTS?
