Wow, I just read this thing will add 10 points of articulation. I wonder how they managed that. Rodimus was pretty good to begin with. Fansproject has some amazing designers working with them.

Robot Kingdom's listing for this says that the set will be limited to 600. Assuming that all info is correct in this thread:
-Per Venksta (who has worked with FP guys)- RK and TF Source Exclusive
-Per initial quantity count reported by others- TF Source had 300
-I am assuming from these two things that RK likely got 300 pcs as well

BTW, TF Source has 87 left in stock, this thing is flying.

 

Duh....It very Limited because the are a Very Limited amount of SG Rodimus out there.

 

Anytime we can secure additional stock of a preorder that pre-sells out we will re-list it on the site again for preorder. But we generally don't hold back stock except a small amount to cover any damaged/defectives and even that is limited dependent on the piece.

 

Can't wait to see if there will be a chrome version for Wildrider in asia.

I dont even have a botcon Rodimus lol, I hope it looks good on the original classics Rodimus 

 

There is an Asian market version of the toy coming out though, through RobotKingdom.

 

Maybe this gives us an inication of protectors price seen as from what i remember both DIA commander and the snowman add on where $20 more than the regular version does this mean protector will be around $60 and also pehaps this guy is being released first to lower the cost of protector or to allow the packing in of firebolt with the set to be cost effective

 

The wings are grey for the one at RobotKingdom which works with SG Rodimus. Wildrider has chromed wings. That is why I am asking if there will be a chromed version.
Kind of feel bad for the guys in Japan. Things will be sold out in less then 36 hours before the news hit their side. Unless there will be a chromed version for their local shop(s).

 

The Aerial Appendage set was like $45; the Snowman version was $50. Those prices held for quite some time . . . I sat on them before ordering JUST before the price increased for Snow man.

Hell, I bought two regular versions, customized one, left one sealed . . . sold both for virtually retail price, then bought the Snowman version still for $50.

I won't be surprised if regular Protector was $80, same price as City Commander when it first came out.

 

Will the Robot Kingdom and TFSource versions be different? Can you confirm/deny that RK's is for the chromed WildRider version and yours is for SG Rodimus?

 

Why has this gone on sale before the regular version, weird.

 

Wierd that RK is the asian exclusive retailer but they say their version will have grey wings.

Wouldn't it make more sense that they get chrome for Henkei Wildrider and TF Source gets grey for SG Rodimus?

There is one version only, and both TFSource and RK are selling them only. I think after the Powered Commander issue, FansProject will not release a version with chromed wings. If they do a chrome version, it'll be totally different decor for the armor and trailer as well, to make it a different thing all together. Or, they could release the chrome wings seperately, with a chrome Firebolt.  

 

You can't cancel at TFSource.

 

Good, I guess? I would have preferred a Henkei Wildrider/chrome Shadow Scyther combo . . . now I don't have to worry about paying $1000 for that . . .
