Starscream has gotten better and better the more we see of him. I have no complaints with any of the design choices and I even think the larger legs and feet work really well for how I’ve always viewed the character. That articulation is also super impressive, it’s obviously on par with what we’ve seen before but stuff like the ab crunch placement is just super well thought out. He’s definitely my favorite looking so far and I can’t wait to get him in hand. Just thinking about how good Skywarp and Thindercrackers colors will look on this mold especially with threezeros high attention to detail gets me excited. I could gush about this thing all day lol.

Wish we could see more enthusiasm for different design takes. I may be misinterpreting others, but it seems like they just want a pure G1 design? But that's silly because mainline has already given us the purest G1 styled figures, so why would they want more of what they already have at a higher price?

Huh, maybe I am not viewing it quite right from their perspective.

Yeah the way I look at designs like this is you either take it or leave it. I’m not going to nitpick the designers vision because this isn’t meant to look like something specific. It’s their own take on the G1 style and I personally love every decision they’ve made. If these looked more like G1 I wouldn’t be interested lol people can keep that aesthetic with their overpriced masterpiece figures, I don’t need it when we can get great designs like this. Even the people that ask for bayverse in this scale I’m just like please no. Let this line shine on its own without needing to do goofily accurate G1 bots or stupidly incoherent bayverse bots, cause these look far better than both in my opinion.

These designs are really good, but do they sell well? I’d think it’s hard to sell original designs like these in large numbers as whilst it is those characters there’s also no supporting media to give fans a connection to the designs. As far as I’m aware anyway, seems odd but if this was used in some media I enjoyed like the new animated movie for example I’d be much more inclined to pick it up. Wonder if others feel the same or it’s just me assuming it’s that way.

You'd be surprised how quick this line's figures sell out.

A lot of them are sold out on ThreeZeros website plus I’m assuming these are produced in much more limited quantities then something like hasbros mainline. Another factor might be a larger audience of fans who also collect stuff like SH Figuarts, SW black series, marvel legends, Mafex etc who are more interested in posable, well painted action figures over transforming figures. Plus these are really fairly priced compared to other lines of similar scale and quality so it’s easier to buy into for certain people

This might be the guy to make me jump into the line but I do think these figures would really benefit from including swappable faceplates.

$120 is outrageous. The prices on these have been getting out of hand

No kidding! This was supposed to be the discount line compared to the DLX line. The Last Knight Bumblebee is $150!

Not really fair if you're going to use discounted prices as the comparison.

Also, this is basically the same size as that Bumblebee. Slightly shorter, but more mass. So this figure actually has better value.

    Transformers MDLX Starscream
threezero is proud to announce the newest character in the MDLX series, Starscream, the treacherous Decepticon Air Commander and the leader of the Seekers.

MDLX Starscream stands approximately 7.8” (20cm) tall to the top of his wings, and is equipped with threezero’s signature Die-cast Zinc Alloy and engineering-grade plastics internal frame system with over 50 points of articulation. Accessories include two interchangeable faces, one detachable back wing system, two detachable null-ray cannons, two detachable threezero original design blades, and four pairs of interchangeable hands. The aircraft back wing system can also attach on to the back of the MDLX Optimus Prime (sold separately), recreating the classic scene from the original cartoon where Starscream pretends to be Optimus Prime. The null-ray cannons and blades are able to detach and reattach to the wings.

MDLX is a new series of articulated figures capturing the spirit of threezero’s renown DLX series at a smaller scale with a similar high range of articulation and great durability resulting in a groundbreaking affordable price.

The Transformers MDLX line of figures are based on the original 1980s The Transformers cartoon and toy line, redesigned by threezero Art Director Kelvin Sau. The iconic designs have been remixed to incorporate threezero’s hyper-detailed mechanical aesthetic, offering a familiar and exciting new presentation. Transformers MDLX figures feature threezero’s unique Die-cast Zinc Alloy and engineering-grade plastics frame system, which retains the tactile playability and durability of the figure. Each figure is finished off with the detailed craftsmanship and weathered paint application that threezero is known for, bringing beloved Transformers characters to a new format for all to enjoy.

    The Price is not OKAY.
I have calculated in around 80$,
because that is the Norm for ALL MDLX
so far. Even Rodimus was 80$ at ShowZ.

But will buy anyways. Still not okay from
    ThreeZero to get greedy.

This figure is shorter than Bumblebee? The Bumblebee is really tiny in person. This is not good

It's a half inch shorter than DLX Bee. It's almost 8 inches tall.
