My store finally started putting these guys on clearance; they've been clogging up the pegs for months. If anyone wants one for $17....

My go-to Walmart didn’t even try to clearance them. Last week they were shelfwarming, then a few days ago they were all gone. My next closest WM still has them full price

I am always, always for repaints and obscure characters, but am I glad to finally see these disappearing from my Walmarts. I feel these are all I've seen at retail this year. Even the less popular Velocitron characters sold quicker.

I have to agree. I did not expect these to be the main figures in Walmarts for what feels like the entire year.

It's kind of impressive. I went into a local Walmart today, and the only Velocitron were Burnout x2 and a Shadowstrip, which I immediately grabbed. There were still at least 8 Legacy Beasts, albeit at a new clearance of $17. Obviously this is just a very tiny sample, but even the supposed Velocitron shelf warmers like Blurr & Road Rocket seem to be moving.

(I'm still very happy we got BW Sandstorm, love that guy)

One Walmart I visited yesterday had Legacy beasts in both the Transformers section and the after-christmas sale section up front. They also had a single Shadowstrip, who like you I also immedielty purchased and then nearly had a heart attack when it rang up as $28 with tax.

I was sad they didn’t have Crasher till I saw that $28 total and was then happy they didn’t. These prices are insane.

I had a gift card that I've been saving for Shadowstrip, so it didn't hurt me too bad, but I was still questioning my devotion to G2 as I was checking out ha ha. Luckily he is a fun little figure with a cool deco, so there's that. But yeah, I find myself being more and more picky with my purchases...

Same. I plan to get Crasher, Galaxy Shuttle, Hot Shot, Armada Optimus and Megatron next year. Beyond that there isn’t much else I want, at least not at current prices.

2022 was the first year I was not a completist with Generations, and it isn’t because I don’t want them, but because they just aren’t satisifying enough to justify the prices. If deluxes were $17 again and voyagers $27, I’d probably still be buying them all, but not anymore. And it isn’t because I have less money, I just think there are more satisifying and better priced figures on the market.

I did get Sandstorm and Buzzsaw when they came out, though, and while Buzzsaw is a whatever, Sandstorm is one of my favorite figures of last year, even if his chest doesn’t tab together.

It's the same story here. If you have to make exclusives, these are the kinds of things I'd prefer them to be: stuff that I don't think many people care about.

These won’t move until they’re priced down further.

I had to Google that. I had no idea that Gobots had a monster combiner; but it's pretty dang cool looking.

Still full price at my Wal-Mart, but a lot of them have disappeared.
