Said this before and I’ll say it again: the “back turret” completely kills aspects of the figure for me.

 

Never has kibble looked so Dynamic, but good grief that is an enormous back kibble

 

this right here kills it for me that is jut the whole robot torse and head just living on the back of the altmode.... if they make the torso black like some fan edits wile annoying would at least hide better

Edit- i am aware there is still a panel that flips down but you can still see it's megs chest

 

Honestly I think I may end up selling the Baroness since I don't have much love for the o ring figures. I just need to figure out a fair price that recoup some of my budget but isn't scalping.

 

You know, if this was Soundwave and the whole thing was blue, it wouldn’t be a problem.


But is isn’t Soundwave, and it’s two different colors.

 

Damn. Even the hands are just molded into the forearms. Which are completely hollow. And obviously no wrist articulation. AND you can't tell me there was no way to compress that "back pack "

Okay. The robot mode looks absolutely horrific. BUT. You have to give the designers credit for that alt mode. That looks clean as HELL. Probably because the robot torso is just chilling on the back, but still... pretty impressive. They probably took the original toy and slapped a transforming gimick onto it, but that works.

 

This looks so flimsy and cheap that you'd expect to find it as a dollar store knockoff

Still looking forward to this guy. I worry that he will fall victim to the yellowing that the recent figures have been plagued with....

I want to be excited for this guy, I REALLY do. But for the love of god, could they have chosen a CHEAPER looking grey plastic to use for this? I mean wow, that just looks like a dollar tree toy. 

 

I agree, If they included an awesome sticker set to break some of it up I think it would have helped.

If they would have made Megatron's inner legs red like the toy it would have been a better look, and maybe some stickers on the shoulders.

Hopefully ToyHax does something for this, but since it is an exclusive I'm wondering if they will?

 

Transformers fans are never happy about anything I swear lol.

Anyways I fucking love him flaws and all. I've been a life long Joe fan and this is something I wish I had as a kid. Can't wait to get this in my grubby little hands.

I'm glad I know how to have fun still and not be a bitter fan. Whew!

 

I don't think it's that bad once you get that back panel in place. Megatron's chest already looks like an armor plate of some kind and I've see plenty of real life military vehicles with miss-matched parts.

There do seem to be a lot of short cuts taken and they can't use the license excuse for this one so I almost have to Wun-Dar if there is some sort of internal rivalry and the Joe team insisted on making this on their own...

 

I don't think there's any conspiracy. I think it's just as simple that 1) the Joe vehicle accuracy was prioritized over robot and 2) the O-Ring pilot functionality has to be preserved. As a result it was necessary to sacrifice the Transformers aspect in favor of the Joe aspect.

 

I had to look at my gamestop preorder to see how much this was again, I’m paying 134.50$ CAD tax in for this? Nah, gonna cancel that shit.

 

We’ll, I’ve canceled my preorder. There are too many releases that I personally love coming up for me to spend space and money on something that I’m only lukewarm on. Very happy this exists, and look forward to others enjoying it.
