Ripping people off, pumping-and-dumping by "selling" back and forth with friendly entities to jack the price/perceived value, and yes money laundering and other highly questionable bullshit.

The smilie doesn't transport all the feelings behind this laugh. You could translate it to a mad laugh about how crazy the world has become, so funny that it is sad. Maybe I should have written it out instead of just using a smilie.

Seven Pirates H coming west this spring - Gematsu

ESCHATOS for Switch launches January 13 in the west - Gematsu

Valis: The Fantasm Soldier Collection English physical edition pre-orders open January 7 - Gematsu

Shin Megami Tensei V shipments and digital sales top 800,000; Atlus preparing ‘surprise unannounced title(s)’ for 2022 - Gematsu
    Very strong sales for SMTV.

I dislike that this game perpetuates the pseudoscientific myth of hemispheric dominance, but looks like a fun puzzle game.

I am actually tentatively very excited for Arceus (hoping if nothing else it'll be a refreshing change,) but the super serious movie trailer style narrator saying, "... collecting materials... and crafting..." set to incredibly intense music made me :lol .

A longer overview trailer was released for Japan:

Pokemon Legends is still sort of depressing because Pokemon does Monster Hunter should be a massive deal, but it just looks meh because GameFreak is like 100 dudes being given scraps for budget whilst the suits at Pokemon Company are probably shitting in solid gold toilets and carpeting the local hostess clubs with 10000 yen notes.

After playing through BOTW, the landscape in this game looks very bland and uninteresting to explore.

In general Gamefreak has not made the transition to 3d, or particularly non-handheld-3d, very well. They're still firmly in the mindset of being 2d Gameboy games where you can get away with a lot of simpler visuals and telling, not showing, when NPCs do things.

Yeah, I'm not holding my breath for visual (or otherwise) greatness. At this point I just want a fun Pokemon game that is at all different from the other recent efforts, which left me a bit underwhelmed. There definitely doesn't feel like there's parity between the amount of money this IP generates, the Nintendo exclusivity, and the production standards, at least IMO. Going in with low but optimistic expectations/demands of, "Just be fun, feel and play differently in a significant enough way that it isn't just a minor departure, give me lots of exploration and discovery, be a long meaty Pokemon experience that doesn't bore me, and have intuitive controls." I am excited to see how it turns out, but also afraid even with those extremely low bars. :lol

The main games from the 3ds-switch era kind of vindicated some of the Pokémon spin offs at least.

been loving the oled the past couple weeks. retreading older games that I never got around to playing like ys 8. only thing upsetting is this is the system that should have been released from the start, instead of what we got for the first 5 years of the systems life.

SNK vs Capcom: Card Fighter's Clash just got released on eShop. It's both versions in one $8 bundle. I bought it immediately. These games are so good.

Kirby looks a lot better than in the reveal footage IMO. (At least close to the camera.) Lighting and materials look to have been improved, though it's also quite possible I'm tripping. :lol  Interesting look in that trailer at what might be an overworld map, too. Having co-op is an awesome addition, too.

I really hope this is a big, fat, juicy Kirby game. I expect it to be a lot more accessible and easier than something like Mario Odyssey obviously, as Kirby is always a game intended to be super easy to hop into (something it often unfairly gets dinged for in reviews IMO.) But I still want to at least see a hefty amount of content.

I’m sure there’s YouTubers that says it’s like breath of the wild. That never ceases to make me cringe.

Lol yeah people should not be going into it expecting this to be the BotW of Kirby. From what I can see, it's a level based game with an overworld map. The levels look reasonably expansive (by Kirby standards, but not as explorable or multi-faceted as Odyssey) and it looks to incorporate Kirby's trademark copy abilities. And it throws in some co-op.

A best case scenario is that it's a fairly easy game (as all Kirby games tend to be,) but with enough stages and things to uncover that it feels substantial while still being a very chill, charming experience (and a good game for young kids and newcomers to hop into as a first 3D platformer perhaps - or people like me who have always enjoyed Kirby's laid back difficulty.) A worse case scenario is that it's extremely short due to that, has not much to find beyond completing the stages, and ends up feeling underwhelming. I hope for the former. The gameplay looks fun.

It's also still not entirely clear if we have full camera control or if it's a dynamic but automatic camera depending upon where you are and what's happening.
