I don't think it's ever been anything more than a rumor. Certainly haven't seen any leaked listings for it for as long as people have been talking about it. Not that things don't have a tendency to pop up out of nowhere in this line either.

Its a pity that the old Thanos bracers are moulded and glued. Someone needs to design one for his right arm. Not happy about the old BAF biceps being half the size.

I thought I saw Legends figures of Longshot and Havok as well... or were those customs?

    That didn't take long.

    Well that's...disappointing.

I have five Sentinels incoming. Looking for some opinions, what are the best looking X-Men figures available, can be from ML, S H Figuarts, Mezco, and any other 6" line? Thanks in advance

Could have been customs or the ones ToyBiz released during their run with Legends before Hasbro got the license as they did both Longshot and classic Havok. Hasbro so far hasn't done Longshot and have only done modern & X-Factor versions of Havok.

I can't recommend going back and getting any ToyBiz Legends since the vast majority of them are dated by today's standards. There's a few that I still have from when I originally bought them but that's only because Hasbro hasn't updsted them yet or because the Hasbro update was a rare instance of the ToyBiz one being a better figure.

The MAFEX ones are great, albeit pricey. Right now, the only ones released are Jim Lee Cyclops, Tiger Stripe Wolverine, and AoA Magneto. Gambit, Psylocke, Brown Wolverine, Jim Lee Jean Grey, and eventually an X-Factor Cyclops (Blue/White) are being released.

ML are great for $20 figures as well, but they escalate in aftermarket prices, especially Blue & Gold team members.

I honestly have my ML (and a couple Selects) in my Detolfs, and then my MAFEX on a separate shelf. As the MAFEX releases grow, I may transition them into more dynamic poses alongside the new Sentinels, provided that they pose/balance well themselves.

Yeah, all of you are right about how difficult could be to see this wave in the Marvel Legends line due to all the facts you say

Heck, even the merchandising from the series is practically non-existent

But who knows, perhaps an HasLab project, some appearences/cameos in the new movies or shows, an Amazon exclusive similar to the Alpha Flight box, new What if ?episodes or whatever could make this dream come true

My hope is so big, that I edited the text to add Absorbing Man with Graviton as a two pack exclusive for Walgreens. Even I start to wish waves based in Runaways, Cloak & Dagger, Agent Carter, Inhumans and, why not, Helstrom, Gifted and Legion

You're a year late behind us who all did that when we pre-ordered the sentinels lol. Might get pricey.

    Love Mafex Cyclops and Wolverine.

Hasbro X-Men classics Rogue is a really good figure though that holds its own against them. Their Storm is quite solid too.

SH Gambit is slick, or there's a Mafex one out soon.

Beast might be harder to find.

My brother used to own Spider-Hulk and I got him a (very expensive) new one for Christmas, that figure absolutely holds up as one of the few TB Hulks anywhere with decent fully-articulated fingers, among other things.

Hasbro made a point to make the white costume Storm, Jim Lee Cyclops, Rogue, and Gambit more accessible, why on earth did Beast only get that gray retro release??

I'd go Mafex, then Mezco, and sprinkle in Legends to fill it out. I love the Mafex Cyclops and Wolverine. There's a Magneto but he's Age of Apocalypse so maybe Mezco for him. Mafex also has brown suit Wolverine, Gambit, Psylocke, and Jean Grey on preorder. I have the Mezco Cyclops and I've been meaning to sell him since getting the Mafex, except the jacket is terrific, so keeping that. Oh I totally forgot about the Mezco Deluxe Tiger Stripe Wolverine is on preorder right now, it looks fantastic, 8 heads! Bishop is also on preorder for Mezco.

Some other Tozbiz figures that still work quite well:

Hulk Classics - most of them, especially the Gremlin HulkBot and Smart Hulk.
    Colossus
    Capt Britain
    Black Panther
    Namor
    Sinister Seven Box Set
    Rhino
    Ionic Wonder Man (natch!)
Some of the FF Classics/Boxset figures IMG_20210909_192951.jpg

    Galactus BAF
    Sentinel BAF
    Modok BAF

Now I know some of these have had Hasbro Updates, and in many cases that's fixed janky-articulation and other issues, but every so often some like the Rhino BAF just don't do it as well as the TB one, both in terms of aesthetic and articulation.

These guys will be staying with me until Hasbro does better.

I missed out on Beast and would love a reissue and also Jubilee but with a new head sculpt to match the cartoon more(maybe opaque or metallic link visor this time to mirror the high reflectivity it implied on the show).

Hulkbot is fucking awesome(aside from the missle stuck on mine)! Agreed that it still holds up and I like their Mr. Fixit.

Fuuuuuuuuck. I actually had loads of red flags on an unboxing video here recently. The reviewer glossed over it but the robot was clearly doing the splits on a smooth surface because the weight was too much for the legs to stay standing in most positions. He couldn't even hold its own hand up to support the weight of the tentacle.

We're on a TF board so we've all seen these issues before in large scale figures and we all know the signs. It's looking a lot like they might have skimped on adding rachet joints and within a month then they'll be a floppy mess.
