Welp, as a Powerglide fanboy, I guess I’ll finally be getting one of these Dr. Wu figures.

He looks a little dopey (even more so than usual) but, it’s Powerglide, so I’m, like, contractually obligated to get him…

 

Yeah, have to say, this one just doesn't work for me. The 'chibi' style is just overdone. I know the other two kind of have the same thing going, but they don't look anywhere near this bad. Or bad at all really.

I don't know who he's going to be packed with. But if I can skip him, I likely will.

Still up for pretty much everything else I've seen so far.

Exactly my thoughts, especially dislike what this does for the altmode. I just want an accurate hawg man

That looks super cute, but as it seems to have no neck joint I’m obligated to pass.

 

I dare say the G1 had a better alt-mode.  Will pass.  

 

I'd like a legends Powerglide - this weird chubber isn't it.

 

People are too critical of him and forget these bots are even smaller than legends, the head is shaped like that due to the alt-mode.

 

Cute. But not for me.

 

FFS, just make actual Micromasters!

Yeah, he doesn't look great in these close ups, but he'll be so, so tiny I don't think I will be bothered.

 

Indeed. I have Prime sitting on my desk and he's literally the size of my thumb. I think the size of these is lost on some people because they are just seeing close ups with nothing else next to it for scale. And that's really a testament to how good these are at such a small size that people can forget just how small they actually are. I should takes some pics of core class Prime and Soundwave next to their Dr. Wu counterparts for size reference.

 

I NEEEEEEEED a Huffer.

 

At this size I can't imagine how Dr. Wu could do most of the minibots. But Huffer, and Windcharger might be doable.
Warpath, Cosmos and Wheelie might work too with some serious sacrifices to either alt mode or robot mode.

 

I'm still waiting for an A10 Warthog that converts into an actual wild boar.

This is pretty cute though. I dig it.
