With everything we have right now, I decided to post my speculation on how the movie opens and what the plot might be like.
Here we go:
-Movie opens with Paramount mountain logo, it becomes a mountain in Peru, we see the Incas at Machu Picchu living peacefully when the Predacons attack led by Megatron in T-Rex mode, Terrorsaur and Dinobot, maybe add Tarantulas though they said the Predacons are all reptiles. Anyway, they attack the Incas and then Maximals show up and save them, they actually set up a trap at Machu Picchu and they seal the Predacons in a tomb inside it that can be opened with a key. Anyway, cut to the 90s, humans have found the key in Peru but not the tomb. So they send the key to a museum in New York, meanwhile Optimus Prime learns about Earth with his Autobots crew. They meet Noah and start a bond. Elena works at the museum and her boss got called to go in Peru because they found a map that could lead them to the tomb, they have no idea what's inside the tomb. Anyway, the Terrorcons arrive on Earth, they are an offshoot of the decepticons who betrayed Megatron, anarchists. Led by Scourge, they have learned that humans have found the key to the ancient tomb of the Predacons, they are legends on Cybertron and Scourge wants them to build his army to kill Megatron. Optimus and autobots need to steal the key and they are helped by Noah, he meets Elena and they become friends. The Autobots would meet the Maximals who decided to wake up from their ship, hidden in the forests inside caves, after they sensed the key was found. Final battle would take place in Peru, with the Terrorcons freeing the Predacons only to see them betray their cause and start destroying everything. Then Autobots and Maximals would fight both Terrorcons and Predacons at the same time. Predacons would escape to set up Beast Wars and majority of Terrorcons would die, or all of them. Decepticons would appear only in a flashback and a post credits scene with Megatron preparing the armada, they found Prime on Earth thanks to Nightbird, who was a Decepticon spy. Movie ends with Optimus accepting his new home and family. So yeah, this is my fanfiction on how it might go.

 

Given how apparently the design that was made for Primal's appearance in TLK is sort of being recycled I'm curious if they'll also recycle that nifty snake that would make for an easy Predacon.

 

He better be named Quickstrike then. If they would do that, I am curious on how different Primal looks and I hope they have robot modes.

 

So, I just found out that IDW gave BW Megatron a new name, Galavar. Maybe they will use that name for him and for Optimus Primal is just Primal. Could work. Then in a sequel spin off he can take his new name as Megatron after seeing the G1 version and loving it (?). That's if he shows up though both decepticons and predacons are confirmed to show up.

 

God I hope not. He's Megatron, because of Megatron, that's his motif.

 

Yeah, but if he didn't meet G1 Megatron and G1 Megatron didn't exist in this universe? We could say they knew about the Primes and he named it after Megatronus.

 

Hmm, but a Megatron does exist in this universe, and we have to assume he had the same historical impact his G1 counterpart did, despite being awful (although not necessarily awful if they decide it's not set in the bay verse). And if they do make a beast wars that's isn't built upon the history and heritage of the Prime/Megatron civil war era, it's a far less interesting take on it.

Beasts actually work though, I don't think they will make them be the creators of the Inca civilization, right?

 

Maybe the maximals and preds can still be from the future but got stuck in the past and never made it back home? I'd like beast megatron to show up as Galavar if he even shows up at all. Would be really confusing if were named megatron. I'm surprised optimus primal is still keeping his name to be honest

 

If the Predacons look like this I'll be more than happy. That thing is gorgeous, I love how the scales are part of the metal pattern.

 

On set they call him only Primal.

 

I hope the movie opens in ancient peru with the maximals fighting the predacons

 

Apparently someone sent this on 4Chan and people thought it's real

 

so we have nighbird and scourge as 2 confirmed terrocons. If the remaining are not no names generic bots who do you think the rest would be if there are say 5 of them? Personally bludgeon would fit this group pretty well.

 

I imagine Sector 7 would find and uncover the downed Axalon and Darksyde ships. On top of that, they might set up not only an outpost or two there, but also several others around the world, making them the Monarch/Prodigium of this new continuity.

 

From what we've heard about the Terrorcons I can't help but wonder if they're somewhat horror themed due to how Scourge feels like someone that can fit right into a horror movie if done right. I mean how cool would it be if the Terrorcons in general were filled up with both normal bots that made themselves look frightening like Slasher villains and bots with monster alt modes AKA how the Abominus team can still fit in.

Also regarding the Predacons it'd be cool if they're filled with every era of Predacons from G1, to the Beast Wars era, to finally Prime as a way to homage all of them. Not to mention they can take the ROTB route and merge BW Megatron and TFP Predaking into one character where he's basically BW Megatron but he has the name and certain design traits of Prime Predaking as a way to also avoid any confusion mainstream audiences about how the BW Predacon Leader has the same name as the Decepticon leader.
