Oh my god it actually looks like Starscream. What a neat concept. It only took over a decade.

This is what we want to see going forward, this level of style and faithfulness. Scrap the shit universe already created and start from scratch with designs like these and quality crews and performers and you've got something much bigger than before.

We know Grindor (Blackout repaint) is coming. Did we ever get a number for him? If not, I'd guess 70 or 71. I forget if there were other listing.

I'm glad they're showing commitment to the designs in early Bumbleebee movie this should mean they are sticking with these designs for the sequel.. spin off.. whatever the next film is. I really like most of these designs. I think If this is good I could see myself buying all three I've been waiting for good voyager seekers for a while.

The undercarriage isn't great, but the jet seems to be mostly based on his Fall of Cybertron look melded with a little bit of the tetrajet look.

If they can retool Blitzwing into a brand new looking figure like Starscream, imagine what they could do next for any other existing Studio Series figures.

Imagine if we got Transformers Prime Beast Hunters figures! It probably won’t happen, but if it does, that would be amazing.

If that happens the first one they will do is either prime arm megs or Unicron megs. Either they do that or we riot in the streets.

not a bad idea the unicron megs was my favorite design of predacons rising and rioting in the streets sounds good. But 70-85 i would say one of the figures would be devcon or something along the lines of that

Yes! Although, I’d say Prime needs a rerelease for everything. Ratchet, Wheeljack and Ultra Magnus had decent to good figures, just in need of better paint. Smokescreen and bumblebee need some good redecoes for their Beast Hunters forms. Bulkhead and Cliffjumper need rereleases of their first edition versions. We have APC Optimus and Megs. But we need knockout and dreadwing (and skyquake as well, but I’d prefer dreadwing). Soundwave and Shockwave got decent figures, but Knockout was completely screwed over. Breakdown is ok, as he’s got a rerelease coming, but Airachnid could use one as well. Then, you’ve got the Megs redecoes, and we never got a good Predaking?! Granted I didn’t collect while Prime figure were on the shelves seeing as I would have been really young, but Prime is really overlooked. So is animated, tbh.

top down shot looks ah'ight, but dang, that angled shot where you can see the undercarriage – not sure if it's movie accurate or not, but that is a hot mess.

Bot mode's not bad by bayverse(ish) standards, but still a bit overly busy and the more primary G1(ish) color palette could stand to be muted to fit in with the overall movieverse aesthetic.

This looks really good. the \" F0790AS00 630509982486 detail 21 Online\" pic looks like a mess, but really think this might be miss transformed.

But this Starscream is not Bayverse, It's Knightverse! And Knight wanted all of his concepts to look more colorful and more like orginal G1! Just think about how Blue Knightverse Soundwave is going to be, How Red and different Knightverse Ironhide is going to look from Bayverse Ironhide, or how Purple Knightverse Shockwave is going to be. I don't think it was apparent until now, how different Knightverse is from the look of Bayverse! I really believe that Knightverse figures will need to be separate from Bayverse figures on a shelf. Yes it's all live action movie, but Knightverse is clearly going for more of a G1 color and look! So I don't think Knightverse will work with Bayformers anymore.

Very true, although I have to say Seige plays off the cockpit as something else the best I've seen, it doesn't look straight up like a Human jet cockpit canopy.

    IMG_0720.jpg

I've always found that a weak point since G1, and I feel like the last ~10 years have sought to address that in various ways. BBM feels like a step backwards in that regard. But whatever, we have seige and bbm so if the people that like BBm are happy with it, that's all that matters. He's accurate to the movie as someone has pointed out.

Overall, I’ve enjoyed the studio series figures. However, after ROTF Soundwave, (underwelming generally, but nice stand), Bee Cliffjumper (leg panels not tabbing), Topspin (lackluster bot mode, tab issues with vehicle mode, ridiculous soft plastic weapons), and blitzwing (chest piece that follows the upward movement of the arms and doesn’t tab in), I’ll be scrutinizing a lot of video reviews (with non stolen product) before dropping more cash on the line.
