It’s not really opinion that these feature less intricate and fewer paint apps, though. They also, depending on the figure, have less parts. Comparing a RED figure to a Marvel Legends or Black Series just shows how cheap and half-baked this line is.

 

Not really when you consider that Legends and Black Series, which again had years to get it "right", don't always have those paint apps, both lines are still full of cheap figures who have less or minimal paint if not also often Frankensteind together with reuse after reuse of parts to keep their costs down (something RED is always going to have trouble doing short of straight repaints). Take also into consideration RED already packs in a good number of accessories (where Legends and Black Series often do not), and in general the added heft and solid feeling of the RED figures over Hasbro's other offerings and I think the RED series is on the right track. Because of that I'm looking forward to seeing how Arcee and Cheetor turn out because I think this line can only get better.

That's got me thinking, I think WalMart has it so their system sees the original pre-orders and the now general order as two different entities which could be why it is such a shit show on why people don't get them.

 

I saw Megatron and Soundwave today at my local and they do seem small and the colors are dull.
I left without buying one at all...

 

That's exactly what I thought when I saw them at the store... I didn't cancel yet my pre-order since I still Hasbro replacement for those figures... Maybe Studio Series 86 release them in later waves or Transformers Earthrise or Kingdom?

 

I know that part but I was thinking if the version they release on any of those two lines will look better than the ones in the RED line...

 

Saw them for the first time in person the other day. I don't really mind the size or the non-transforming aspect too much, but G1 is very wasted potential. I get why they did it, cause those are probably the most recognizable and popular versions of the characters, but the G1 designs mean that lines like Masterpiece and the new WFC stuff can pull it off relatively kibble-free already, plus the robot modes are too blocky for decent sized and articulated figures. Prime is what this line was designed for, and I certainly hope we get more than just Arcee and Knockout.

 

Saw all three of wave one in store today. I didn’t get any of them cause I’m trying to save up some cash lately but I don’t think they looked bad.

 

Got one for my god daughters B-day she loved it. Ran off and pew pew pewed everybody.
