Finally the time has come for chug to have the respect it deserves! Geeeeeeeeee1 cartooooooooooooon!!!!
Jazz looks okay but unfinished. It needs reprolabels and his shoulder cannon. This figure makes be want that Maketoys Jazz figure even more.
Have a chance at what? I really don't know what the heck you're talking about, the paint on Jazz is fine.
You're reading too much with this. #14 in Diaclone and the catalogs (there's basis to this). Anything else igoing to Xfiles territory already.
This is nostalgia glasses in a nutshell. Sometimes I wonder how long it's been since some of the folks who grew up with the cartoon have actually watched it. Because from the point of view of someone who still hasn't watched a single full episode of the show... it seems like Hasbro knows what they're doing, and a lot of the perceived inaccuracies can be chalked up to fans forgetting what the sunbow character models actually looked like. Impossible! A TFW2005 member who isn't a big fan of plain-ass Sunbow Jazz, but understands why his interests aren't being prioritized, and is happy to buy the toy anyway and modify it to his liking?
Where’s the 3mm blast effect pegs on the body then? 5mm on the back doesn’t mean anything. He doesn’t have the holes on his arms shoulders or legs. That’s like saying “hey generations 2010 Kup had a C-clip! That means was intended for the live actions because those came from the movie toy line! It’s called cross playability Every WFC figure has 5mm holes on their back, shoulders, legs and feet aside from Arcee and chromia but that is due to their proportions.
Oh, oh heavens no. You mistake me for hating this figure. I actually love it as-is. I FUCKING LOVE the slavish attention to the Cartoon colors. I'm only doing this because I also FUCKING LOVE the Martini Racing Team colors. Some of the slickest paint jobs that's ever graced some of the sexist cars on track or gravel. Look up the Lancia 037, Delta S4 and Delta HF Integrale. This is the closest to having a modern transforming Porsche 935 Turbo in the Martini Racing livery. As much as I want to keep Jazz in his G1 cartoon state I can't pass up having a Martini Porsche too.
Jazz is looking pretty good. The paint is meant to reflect the cartoon and it does that well enough. His articulation is probably the best we've gotten from an official G1 style Jazz figure. His hollow spots are of course, not lovely, but I keep my expectations in check for a mass released $20 figure.
Studio Series has never been about that type of playability. I suppose youre one of those people who was disappointed that "studio series 86" is its own line and not interfering with the Bayverse numbers. If you still need proof these were supposed to be WFC, look no further than Cyclonus. Why is he in Kingdom ? He is a way more prominent 1986 movie character than Jazz. It seems like a really easy option if you wanted cartoon accuracy. Almost too easy. Never knew about the Diaclone number.
Definitely agree! I always wanted a cartoon accurate style Jazz since day one, and this definitely fulfills that. Can’t wait to get him in hand.
Maybe I'm biased because I'm a Jazz fan, but consider me excited. I like my displays matching aesthetically and yes United Jazz is great but I'm leaving him with my CHUG collection. He's too tall and busy to fit with the current lineup. I didn't think potp Jazz was too bad either when displayed with siege models. But this SS Jazz is just perfection for earthrise. I can't wait.
Even better! Who would have though we'd see someone so genuinely enthusiastic about toy robots, on a message board intended for fans of toy robots?
I've been incredibly excited since Siege. These are the G1 toys I've been wanting for a decade now. Especially so with even more so with SS86. No reimaginings. No IDW designs. Just straight up G1.
Not really. He's still full of gaps on the backs of his forearms and waist. They've got some cross-bracing, at least, so they're not just completely hollow.
