Awesome! Tracks is a special one. Definitely one of the top 5 coolest designs in G1, IMO. And to this day, I can’t look at him without hearing his G1 cartoon voice in my head saying, “Just look at my beautiful paint job!”.

Back to me for another #GCWO entry, and I am privileged to present Day 39: ASTROTRAIN!

    Astrotrain.jpg

Absolutely love this toy, and thoroughly enjoyed doing this entry. Thanks to @tikgnat for design genius, and it's back to @Sixo and @incapable hulk for more G1 pics/reviews/nostalgia tomorrow!

    All the best

How much telescoping of the tank barrel did the Diaclone release have? I had Blitzwing as a kid and I'm 99.99% sure the barrel could telescope in and out at least two centimeters.

Sorry this is my fault for not being clear, as all versions can retract and extend the barrel, what I meant to imply was that the actual moulding was a different shape to visually appear even more telescoped, like this:

I almost responded yesterday with the same curiosity as @Ikkstakk , @Maz - thanks for sharing those pix, I didn’t know preBlitzwing had that more properly sculpted cannon, very cool. I wonder if it was deemed too fragile or something?

Yes, finally getting to the Constructicons. Scrapper was the first one I picked up as a kid. It took me nearly a year to get all six, with Long Haul being the last, so I had ample time to enjoy the figures separately and Scrapper was one of my favorites. I used to have them on display building out my Decepticon headquarters along with dead batteries as fuel storage and cutouts of stereos and electronic parts from a Radio Shack catalog as Cybertronion technology.

Haha like we talked about, individual entries were definitely a thing, and I wanted to make them special :D

Some patience may be required until the big fell himself shows up.

Hmm, that was a hell of a sentence...

    Hah that is super cool!!

There were 3 entries into the GCWO, by myself which I totally forgot to post in here. So, much later than they should be - here they are.

    Day 46: Grapple

The Insecticons were one of only two teams I completed in toy form as a kid (the other being the Technobots). I traded a kid at school for them. Those figures are still in my possession today. Full disclosure: I think Shrapnel might be my overall favorite.
